how many tears can I cry in an hour? alot. why do get tired after crying? our heart rate increases and our breathing slows down. The more vigorous the crying, the greater the hyperventilation, which reduces the amount of oxygen the brain receives - leading to an overall state of drowsiness. so if you have trouble sleeping then just cry!

I’m not good at math at all .. but I’m going back to school to become a surgical tech but I’m hesitant because I really suck at math.. does the exam & class involve lots of math if so what’s the intensity of the math

    • @Traumagirlypop

There is not a lot of math! Only for pharmacology, and we barely use it in general world. I suck at math too. If I remember, the test didn’t have any math on it.

We don’t do ENT where I work so seeing your setup is interesting because I literally have zero idea. I’m a nurse, but nurses can learn to scrub where I work and get their FA. I do mostly ortho and I only got to learn to scrub gallbladders on my one week on orientation, they’re going to have me learn to scrub ortho as that’s my primary service line. I pay attention but it still seems overwhelming because I know my scrub is setting out certain sizes depending on the patient’s gender, size, assembling things before we start (I’m usually unable to pay attention while she sets up her table, only open and then check trays)

I've been accepted into the fall program, but the professor didn't really address the lab portion during the info session. Thanks :)

-ask doctors questions if you don't understand what is going on. some techs explain but some don't. most doctors like to teach and if they don't you can usually tell -be as helpful as you can! help turn over rooms, clean up, put up supplies. people will be nicer if you help out -don't out shine residents. they will help you if you don't be a show off (i wasnt but saw other students trying to impress doctors). they can be your best friends if you allow them and you want them on your side
