Steve "Lips" Kudlow of Anvil Full Interview - Ep#092
He's the creator of doom basically. Along with Sabbath
It's funny when you realize the SNL bit was actually how it went down....he just wanted cowbell, lol.
Oh please we all know who is the master writer his name is they one Mr Dave Mustine
So glad they added the cowbell
MORE FKG COWBELL BCH ! !
I recently heard about Asomvel through a recommended video called Louder and Louder... wow, what a great tune! Now they are quickly becoming one of my favorite bands. If you're a Motorhead or AC/DC fan, check them out!
That bass player is awesome. love this record!
Crack is wack!!
Blue Oyster Cult was right up there with all the other great bands coming out in the early 70's......To me they are right up there with Aerosmith, Led Zep, Alice Cooper, Ted Nugent, Rush, Black Sabbath.
Saw them live in Rhode Island a month or so ago. Great band.
We still burn for the BOC!
That outro was dope as hell. Great interview
THE SCORPION!!!!!!!!!!!
GREAT Interview!!❤️🔥❤️🤘🤘
And he was totally right.
Asomvel sound like asomvel bloody fantastic!
Legend 🌟
I'm getting tired of all the immigrant hate in the U.S. Be mad at the laws but don't be mad at immigrants. 99.9% of them are good people and greatly outweigh any bad ones coming in. You wouldn't know that by all the skittish frightened people who call everybody they don't like snowflakes. We're a nation of spoiled brats who will believe and fall for anything.
Ozzy is Metal af, it would have been a blast to know him in his day.
Blue oyster cult is such a cool and versatile band that existed so long and did so many great songs. And if you look at Metallica for example you should know when to stop.
Don’t fear the rrrrreeeeeeaaaaaaapppppeeeeerrrr
No way Keith moon is far and away the greatest rock drummer
Pound for pound?? Band talk? U lost me
Satan be gone!
Love my man mustaine, but he sounded like the ultimate balloon knot covering fear and the Kennedys
Led Zeppelin were guilty as sin re: plagiarism, but that was more when they were a younger band. Later on they wrote material of their own that was phenomenal and I daresay that many bands thereafter copied elements of Led Zeppelin's music and style.
His sound is so unique. I love his solos on the album. Now I'm gonna have to go listen to figure out which solo it was that he "dumbed down".
Streaming? I don't like it. I listen the album by streaming . If I like it I buy the cd. Anvil? I still have my 80's cassettes, I have all the album's on CD and I started to buy it all on Vinyl now.
All Anvil albums are great 🤘🤘🤘
I got into Metallica when Garage Days came out in 87, and Anthrax, Slayer, Overkill…etc, so I’d consider myself a bonafide old school thrasher…and I’d agree with respectfully 87.5 of you placement. Especially with the later albums. I don’t agree mostly with Orion and Damage Inc…I always felt it was maybe the best one two punch to end an album…you can’t listen to one without the other, and the d-beat riff that happens just before the 3rd chorus of Damage is just dominant Thrash. But really other than that? I’m with you bro…at the end of the day, this is your take. If someone doesn’t like it…they can make there own list
I just discovered these guys a few days ago. Has a fan of Thunders, NY Dolls, etc... these guys are the real deal. Wear their influences on their sleeves yet are completely their own thing.
Listen to Gomez make me go back to Toe Jame lol. Everytime I listen to Gomez
I love that band I've been pounding metal with Anvil since 84 🤘🤘🤘 I grow up with their 80's albums but I love all the other ones just the same. I'm 53 and love Anvil just like I was 14 🤘🤘🤘🤘 Just like they wrote years ago they Still going Strong
Ross being fired didnt help, but most bands run out og ideas. Not a lot bands can say thst they had a great album after their first six.
It’s honestly one of my favorite Megadeth records. It probably ranks #4 behind RIP, Peace Sells, and Youthanasia
My only complaint with that album is the other people doing overdubs/harmonies. Kinda like Ozzy’s No Rest of the Wicked, like WTF do you need like backup singers lol??? Asides from that minor critique- that album rocks
Dude, why'd you chop off the intro to your channel in this video.
@@Tatvashastramu the intro is only on full episodes
@@disturbingthepriestpodcast It's fantastic. By the way, I'm a huge fan of BOC. Bunch of extraterrestrials.
Chris caffery is a legend in tso
Never heard of them until now.. wasn't disappointed an listen to them now. Thank you 🤘🏻🤘🏻
It still gave us Bill Maher.
Unamed feeling is s tier!!!
Some kind of monster and shoot me again are A tier, shoot me again
You made me lol for real with shoot me again, but I ADORE that song. It just fires me up as I walk down the streets of Chicago
No Diamond Head, no Metallica
The stuff legends are made 👍
Dope interview gotta love these guys
Albert is a charmingly chatty guy and a great storyteller. Thanks for posting this!
It's an amazing album and it's awesome to hear him talk about it like this
Great story!
The way he stands behind the mike and looks up while singing in a similar gruff style is where the major Lemmy comments come from. Overall, from what I've heard so far, I don't think the band sounds like Motorhead. Which is a good thing. They sound like their own thing. Every band is going to sound a little like their influences.
they sound alot like their influence
