You Belong to Me - Cover

Here’s my arrangement of, “You Belong to Me”, by Chilton Price, Pee Wee King, and Redd Stewart (1952).
Driving the song forward, we’ve got some drums, upright bass, rhythm guitar, piano, and an organ.
We’ve also got two alto saxes, clarinet and bass clarinet, tenor and bass trombones, trumpets, a vibraphone, 2 banjos, and (my favorite) a lap steel guitar.
Jo Stafford’s version is still the tops, but this was fun to play around with regardless!

I’ve always loved the classic minor walkdown chord progression that’s found in a lot of jazz tunes.
