Basil?
Nah.. I prefer auto......
And don’t listen to the “experts”
It’s not entry level luxury. It’s a luxury watch
Just out of curiosity, when changing the date on your watch, does the date change when turning the crown clockwise or anti clockwise?
Pull the crown halfway only
Is the bezel aluminium or ceramic? How thick is it?
Aluminum
Looks awsome. Im tempted!!!
ima get one inshallah
worst unboxing ever. you talk to much and do nothing while talking. open the f*** thing!
How do you feel about the bracelet on this vs the new 200m? The new 200m is polished down the middle and I’m not sure how I feel. I like a sportier watch so I wished the new was all brushed bracelet
Hi Ryan , sorry to reply late I also prefer the brushed as it gives a lot more sportier look. Have you checked online if someone is selling their watch that you can buy from ?
Hey iftikhar how has your experience been in past year with the watch. Planning to buy 43mm in same model, costing approx $1700 from Pakistan. It's an old model but is it worth buying at this price?
Hey Usman, if you are investing $1700 I would say pay more and get the latest one. The automatic models are also going reduce price.
43mm is for clowns sir
Eww quartz? Why??
Why not ? Also this was the budget I have setup for this purchase but in the future will go for automatic for sure😀
@@Iftiify stick it to quartz unless you want to get hit with a big bill when you need to service the damn watch. My friend had to pay 650 euros to service his ETA movement Breitling. 🤦🏻♂️ The automatic movement suddenly failed. Huge headache. Just get a quartz that is more robust, more accurate and cheaper in price and servicing.
@@bigbrotherwatchesdannyboy306 a ETA 2824 or 2892 should cost 200-250 to service your friend got ripped off.
Battery quartz is so much better. Don’t you understand people buy these watches for the jewelry and not to tell the time. If we wanted something that just told time, we’d get a Timex instead
Resale will make you cry. Should have bought 2nd hand and save over 50%
I am not selling it. It has been 2 years and I love it every day
How much are the worth resale?
@reneflores1297 depends on where your located. I've picked up TAGS here in australia 80% off used
Big deal about resale value. Sometimes people want new and don’t care about what it’s worth in the future. There’s more important things in life than getting hung up on resale value
@@mohamedalkaboom you only care when you sell then you cry
Looks great
I believe MIDO ocean star is better in every aspects of entry level luxury GMT watch.. but your watch looks cool brother… congratulations
This watch is one that will not leave my collection. There is now weak spot. Case, bracelet, dial, crown all robust. Inky black dial with yellow accents pop in the light. Quartz movement is off about 2 seconds per month. Very satisfying to wear.
What do you mean off??
Get on with it mate ffs
Beautiful watch my friend. You e opened up a can of worms. I have a couple aquaracers and love them.
How do you like it so far? My wrist is close to 7”, I tried the 43mm blue automatic version at a store yesterday and it was too big and heavy. 41mm is not available anywhere in store, I need to order online but do you know if it is considerably slimmer, smaller, and lighter?
Hi A Bogoss, 41mm was my choice since 43 was a bit bigger in my opinion and I don’t like my watch to be flashy. This fits perfectly good. I would say ask your dealer to order one for you since I would not recommend order online you may not like the size etc, always try it, if you fall in love only then buy. This watch is not a small expense in anyway.
Nice watch, I have the automatic one instead of the quartz model
ref. please
Do you mean reference number of the watch ?
Great looking watch! Did you pay retail or did you manage to get any discount off the AD?
Hi Lee Mosley, I paid the retail price was looking to get some discount myself but you know how TH makes their timepieces this specific model is going to be replaced with an updated one next year.
I have older version in blue dial and love it but this dial just not click for me....
Black is classic and amazing. Blue is for girls
Meh. Way overpriced. Tons of watches out there with better specs at a cheaper price from recognized brands.
Like which ones ?
@@isaacc154 longines, squale, Hamilton, oris, even seiko and other more utilitarian brands for the money. Lots of better watches out there man. I have 2 tags myself. They are nice but way overpriced.
@@amievap78 my first entry luxury watch was a tag carrera and I bought at full price . I didn’t know at the time that it was like buying a car at MSRP so I see what you mean by overpriced👍 But the Carreras are surely nice watches regardless of the price.
Once you set your heart on something, there is no price that matters at that point. I like the Tag branding, their timepieces stand out and with given prices they are second to none. All other brands (Longines, Hamilton etc.) you mentioned not stand on same class.
@@Iftiify yes! Tag Heuer is Tag Heuer and there’s no another one that could have made the Carrera or the Monaco.
Once you wanted to spend some money to treat yourself, should go a little further and bought the automatic version. Much more horologically satisfying. The Aquaracer is also in my list!
I it’s very easy to disagree with your statement. Quartz is much more robust, much more accurate, noticeably lighter. From horological and practical point of view those facts alone is enough to get more satisfaction from quartz. All military combat wristwatches starting probably from ~ 1990 are exceptionally only quartz. Automatic is horological history and are satisfying to history admirers.
@@tongotongo3143 Hello and happy New year! First of all, let me say that my first real watch was a quartz. Secondly my core collection has 24 watches, and of those, 7 are quartz. In 2021 I bought 2 quartz pieces to my collection, and I'm considering buying on more quartz piece. I also believe every collection needs some quartz pieces. Cheaper, more resistant and always ready to go! However, there is no question about the beauty of a mechanical movement. Hand made by an artist. Made the exact way they were made 200 years ago. In deed a piece of history! A quartz can't beat that. It's like comparing a V10 engine with a Tesla. A microchip with wheels and no engine sound... They are great, but... There's something missing. For accuracy, you can always buy a smartwatch. But it isn't the same thing, is it? I like quartz watches, but I would never pay that much for a quartz piece. It's like buying a Diesel Maserati. Economically smarter, but... Not the same as a petrol V8!
V10, Maserati are exactly like quartz wristwatch! They all work from battery! Quartz watch has mechanical parts in it, the difference from pure old fashioned mechanical watch is only that one is powered by spring, and another is powered by battery giving impulse to quartz stones which moves mechanism. Quartz watch is alive, it creates impulses and ticks exactly like heart of alive being. Tesla is like Apple Watch, Maserati is like quartz watch, and 18 century Steam Engine is like mechanical watch. To each his own. Apple Watch isn’t acceptable because it relies on regular frequent charging. Quartz movement in a body of classical conventional wristwatch is the best what humanity has created so far.
You’re just an auto watch snob. Battery Tags are great watches
I would like to buy it, how is quartz movement and have you recommended this watch?
Yes Farrukh I would recommend quartz since there is no difference in quality it is only sometimes people prefer mechanical watches but they are also heavier and a little bigger in size.
How much did it cost you?
0:33 everything
Great Choice- wear it in good health. I have the new model with the silver dial... you may have opened a can of worms--- next comes a Tag Chronograph :)
Thanks David, let me how is your experience so far with the Tag
Ironically I have a chronograph and am now looking at the new silver dial one it looks beautiful
