Enshrouded, Man the Battlements!
Glenwoods End is Actually a VERY defensible Fortress Town. I would hate to be the Army that's trying to lay siege to the place!

Seems like a ton of work.
look at this racist.
You can just play around with Altar Location, and you will encompass every House. If it blocks a path, just make it underground, or make a roof for the Bridge and place it on top.
I didn't know we could place 2 overlapping flameshrines. 1 cannot cover the whole town. Great job what you did sofar. Too bad most of the town is made out of dognose stones.
So far the biggest survival game map i have seen is SCUM...its INSANELY huge
This was the video that inspired me to find my own end game in Enshrouded. Just gonna rehab stuff. I'm uploading my latest video for Lupa's Lair as we speak. When you come back from working, check it out. Raven's Keep is my next project, and finally Glenwood's End... back to where it all began. There was a bug that was crashing my game. I left the honey trees alone, and they kept producing hundreds of honeycomb and wax each. That crashed the game constantly. I disabled the base and will have to start over... but thanks to all I've learned, it's going to be a much easier time. Thank you for this. Really and truly.
@7:00 re: grass& ivy on floor & walls ... as you prob found, if you delete a block with grass or ivy on it, it just migrates/junps to the next block over. What I had to do was cut out all blocks around the offending grass/ivy block(s) - to completely isolate them from any other world blocks. Then if you delete the ivy/grass blocks, it will be gone for good. But in several places (esp the ivy-covered building walls) that kinda means destroying most if not all of the building and then rebuilding it from scratch. I'd like to be able to make a perpetual burning fire in the fireplaces ... but have not found a way to do that. At best, I can make a campfire, but it eventually burns out.
The blocks you need are the WELL BLOCKS, available in the last part of the early access.
I recommend recording your game audio and your microphone to different channels so you can balance them as needed during editing. If you mix them into the same channel, it will really limit what you can do at editing time.
That pet spider! LOL
Your videos have inspired me to do the same on my world. Thank you! It is a ton of work but I find it very relaxing and rewarding.
Me building/repairing a roof, 75% of the time. Me: So this goes here. Game: You meant over here right? Me: No, I meant here. Game: Over there? Me: NO. Put it where I want it!. Game: Fine, be that way. 😆
The fitting stone for the altar is "Well Stone" or something in this regards. Somewhere to find in lvl 5 or 6 shroud.
If I take my upgraded alter down, and move it to a place like you did, does it keep its upgrade? I'm scared to move it and lose lose its level or upgrade of how many alters I can have
It DOES NOT keep its upgrade, you will have to spend like 15 shroud cores. you can move it and not loose progress on your builds if you put it back down and max it out BEFORE you log off. otherwise you will loose your build areas. so make sure you have enought cores before you do it.
I have actually done this the whole town just doing the interior decor now very satisfying but takes ages
The sphere bombs you can disassemble. The bear traps you can "remove" with a single pick axe swing
Idk why this was recommnded to me, I don't even know this game, but you go man !
You don't have to dig all the rubble with the pickaxe. Just put a stoneblock into it and remove it ;) Looks great so far, I'm curious how it turns out at the end👍
That's funny! I'm doing the same right now. I have one altar underneath the stairs of the grand hall where the hole is and another beside a post on the pathway under the village so they are nearly inline. Only the dead bodys respawning all the time are a bit annoying . I have put a well on it. :D
They're dead. It's easy loot everytime I log in. I placed grass underneath and planted many seeds. So the bodies lie between the crops, lol.
Really enjoyed this video, the way you started it and all the work and thought to detail and the story. What a great job, you definitely hit this one out of the park D. Thank you!
Could it be that the spider was not yet "cleared" before you put the first altar down? Same for the dead bodies...?
dont think so, I didnt loot a lot of the NPCs in tbe boss room when I went through, (no inventory left at the time) and they dont respawn, just those 3 in the front. as for the Spider, I don't remember.
Build the secret passage entrance with the outer edge of the cave wall longer, so the entrance is obscured from frontal view. Then plant shrubs around the entrance for more cover.
I’m currently working on this rebuild myself! I found the town a few nights ago and thought I should rebuild it, I googled to see if someone did it and I found your video! It helped me with flame placement etc! Good luck!
Can you make a fence in front of the spider cocoon so the hunter just has a pet spider?
LOL, Im going to do that now!
yeah i crash there also they said something about the tree with all the honey and stuff being bugged I will just wait till they fix it😭
Ha ha, fair enough!
I love this. It frustrates me SO MUCH though! Your original video inspired me to do the same thing. Rehab this entire place. I found the perfect location for the flame. I spent like 20 hours clearing 100% of the rubble and filling in all the big holes with regular stone so I could slap a flintstone cover on it. I got everyone their own home. I moved all my inventory from my original base here. On my first day of filling everything in with flintstone, my game crashed. Ok, cool. Let's reload. Then it crashed again. And again. And again. I stopped counting at 30. Only when I'm in this location. I got my own server and it still happened. I've submitted probably a dozen bug reports and they never respond. You, however, have led me down a rabbit hole from which I will never escape. I'm just going to keep rehabbing places. I found a tavern in Revelwood. I found an inn type place in the desert. My entire endgame will just be rehabbing existing locations. I'm really looking forward to it.
Have you tried going into your steam library, Right clicking on the game in your list, going to properties, and then "installed files" and finally click on "Check file integrity"? it sounds like you may have a bad file. if that's not it, try updating your graphics drivers. I don't know what else it could be unless your PC is below the Minimum specs. but your able to get that far so it cant be your pc. also do you have a lot of back ground programs running, that could also affect game play.
@@dracussdarkweave112 I appreciate the advice. I've done all that. Apparently, it's a widespread issue. It finally just happened again but on my newest resto. Like, I watched your video, logged in, and crashed in my new base on my rented server. I think I give up. Enjoy Star Citizen. I'm super excited about it. I bought a penguin about a year ago, but I just couldn't play with how buggy it was. Hopefully it's going to be in a playable state soon. It seems a bit daunting by how big it is and everything. We'll see.
@@Smashtacular01 Ill have one last video up on that game this weekend. may be the last one before going back to work, hopefully spring will still be light on work loads so Ill have more time........hopefully :) Trying to rush through what I had planed.
@@dracussdarkweave112 We'll be here when you get back. :)
I took on Westcott and rebuilt it.
There is a spot just outside the building you had all your storage chests you can place the altar that when fully upgraded wll cover the entire Keep, all the walls. The two buildings out front and the one to the Left. It will get the entirety with only one altar. Spent all yesterday moving it, leveling it, checking the perimeter and repeating until I had it in the oerfect spot. If you are coming in from the outside go out the back door and down the stairs to the Left and that squate spot rught there where building wraps back towards the front
yes, Ive been told, sadly it DOES NOT cover that bandit camp in the back placing it there. I wanted it gone. it also would not get the trapped side trail up into the keep and I plan on turning that into a horse/wagen road into the back yard that will become the stables. I also have the mountain cliff to build a nice watch tower on if I so choose.
@@dracussdarkweave112 choices, choices lol
your voice so annoyed by the spider spawning over and over lol, amazing work with this town!!
And i agree Glenwoods end really deserves a fix up more than any of the other ruins in Enshrouded so far
Honestly i saw you're fixing Glenwoods end and i couldn't resist watching because i want more people to fix the ruins in Enshrouded so bad but everyone is addicted to building their own bases and i can't play yet because i don't have a console or any way to get one for a while
If you dig a hole, that trap might fall into it and you can bury it?
I will have to give that a try, I know it didnt work with the bodies though so I dont hold up hope for the trap. Though I can raise the land a bit. have to fill in that big hole near by anyways :)
Looking great! When work resumes, play at your own pace brother. Mental health is important.
Just make a temporary staircase out of ordinary stone instead of scaffolding - you can run right up it, have it turn corners, extend it sideways etc, remove it and rebuild all the time without the hassle of scaffolding!
I could, but, ya know, It just does not feel right to do that, the scafolding just make the "under Construction" look work :)
Where do you place the Altar to get the whole keep
I am in the process of remodeling Glenwood also.
This is my home too lol.
I thought about doing surats rest myself but i have several other raw builds going. GG btw.
Amazing ❤
Can you make the video a little longer next time
sure, which building?
wow me and my friend just did a repair job in the same place and moved in as well
I'm glad Enshrouded was created. This is Everquest Next that never came into fruition.
6:32 Put a fully upgraded flame altar where you have your workbench. You will have 100% coverage of every building, even the place where you want to put the guests you don't like.
I found a better place that works for my needs:)
I wanted to know where, so I checked your time stamp, I see no work bench. Where are you on about putting the altar?
@@wigg1yscott554 My video, "the back courtyard", starts with my main flame alter placement, I use 2. my video "all moved in" starts where I placed the second alter. both together give me complete coverage of the entire Area, from the mountain to the approach up the path, including the obstacle course that I have turned into the horse and wagon access to the back door of the keep.
I just wanted to say how much i appreciate your videos! With your help i was able to get the right placement for my altars to cover the whole place. I hope you keep making videos. I am interested in to see what you do with the town and how we differ in areas. I just started rebuilding mine (still in rubble removal phase)
Glad it was able to help you, more to follow.
First upload using my new DaVinci Resolve Video Editor. No Commentary for this one. Just getting used to the new software. Its been Years since Ive chopped up and put a video together, and I wasn't exactly a pro the first time around. Bear with me as I go though the learning process :)
Could you add a second alter
Can you show us more
It would be amazing if they put farm animals in the game..
I know the next place you should rebuild the blue goblet tavern
