Notice how the ball revs up and rolls end over end on its axis VS. on its side. That’s the rotation you want. You’ll get the feel for it in no time man

I’d recommend learning 2 handed style if you’re not going to use your thumb. I did and was able to raise my average significantly, while gaining more control of my ball’s rotation. Trust me man, you’ll get knocking your spares with ease too. Best of luck either way, keep doing you!

This is just advice. I’ve grown up bowling fam owned an ally. Still bowl league. Get your ball drilled with at least finger tips. I’d suggest a thumb to and have it drilled for how you release and throw. You putting all that spin on that ball. Not drilled so you don’t always have a consistent throw with the cg or pap anything centered nothing. So the way it reacted can be inconsistent. And a solid cover would react harder and faster along with being drilled properly for what you want it to do. If it’s the 2 handed route still do the finger tips so you have a basis of the cg and can get a consistent release and rotation on the ball so it has more of a consistent reaction. Slower you throw. More and harsher it’ll reaction. With the more revs. Or rotations. Pearls aren’t a good choice for bowling in general anymore besides spare balls. Hybrids are the good overall choices in an arsenal. Then a solid. For faster bowlers or ones that want a lot of action.

I don’t have any advice as I know nothing of bowling, but don’t look at the pins until you hear the ball go into the thing. Would be so cool, just to walk it off like “yeah I know I’m him”

Hey Nate! Do you have a coach or take lessons? I’ve seen several of your videos come across my feed over the past month or two, and I have a suggestion that might help your game a little, if you’re interested.
With a name like “BowlerScott” I feel I should take any advice you have! No coach, just me learning as I go. Watching the videos back, helps a little. Kinda like studying for a test later at home. 🤙🏻 what advice you got for me? I’m always open ears.
@@NathanGoesBowling that’s awesome man. Bowling is such a cool outlet. It changed my life. Whenever you feel like you’re alternating between going Brooklyn and then coming in light, it’s usually because the ball’s rotation isn’t “forward” enough. Practice rolling the ball more end-over-end to help blend out your ball reaction, and it will increase the predictability and repeatability of your shots and ball reaction. One positive I’ll note is that your position at the foul line is really solid, especially for a first-year bowler. You post your shots great and you watch the ball as it makes its motion down the lane. Keep doing that!
Let your arm swing a little lower, drop your hip a hair more. When you come forward for the release, your hand should end in a hand shake position. If the ball isn’t breaking hard, more your feet a few more boards to the right and grab the pocket more aggressively. 2005 Washington junior state champion - bowled a 774 series and had a 208 average for years.

@@NathanGoesBowling just focus on repetition and learning your different positions based off lane conditions. Thankfully today the technology in the cores of the ball do allot of the work for you.

My opinion you should push the ball out earlier in your swing. Get some of those early stutter steps outta there and have little bigger strides. Also the rotation of your ball on this throw is so side ways instead of revving towards pocket. Just some tips, you will get it. I’m a 210 average one handed and around 200 two handed. Which is similar to your no thumb throw. I threw my first 300 like you are throwing right now

If you want to get faster ball speed and more consistency keep your off hand on the ball longer and use a bigger back swing. After you get used to it it’ll help a lot

ALWAYS the 10 pin. I’ve noticed when I leave a 10 pin, I fix that by taking a step or half step forward. The ball is a raw hammer. 🤙🏻
