It cannot survive without water, you need to grow it in mud and fill the container with out..or it will dry out

Most probably it might not be getting enough sunlight to flower...if that's the case move it to higher light exposure. Another reason could be nutrient deficiency..so fertilize it with a flower boosters like DAP, or bone meal. If the light is correct, that itself is more than enough for them to bloom.

They can take mild winters. So don't worry much about that. Just make sure to water them only when necessary and don't over water during winter.

If your winter is really strong and humidity levels are low, i would suggest not to disturb your neps...it's best to cutback during rainy humid weather.

If your container is exposed, all kinds of weeds can germinate alongside your sundew...you can gently pluck them off at a very early stage to avoid disturbing the sundew seeds or seedlings

I am not from Chennai bro..I am from Kerala. In Chennai weather you can slowly move the plant towards full sun and get it adjusted...make sure the water tray never gets dry and refill daily...vfts won't perform well unless they get full sun

They are generally care free...I have noticed grasshoppers munching of the leaves..but nothing serious. So I don't bother much and leave it be...

If your nepenthes is not forming pitchers, it needs more light...also pay attention to the humidity of your area..very low humidity will also slow down pitcher formation.
