Very cool conversations
One of my favorite bands I have the 45 given to me back in 79 🎶❤️
Loved the Davis Brothers in the 70's. They would play Eleazar's and other sites in the Upper Valley. Enjoyed listening to this single. brought back memories.
Of all the singer song writers and musicians in the world. A great music man, or woman is one that does it solely for the music, despite the fame and fortune. Jonathan is one of those. Long live his music !
I don't know when it was written but my fav is Breath
FINE SINGER
I (vaguely) remember Mr Lucky's, 1974. Parachutes and all.
This should have 10 Million views. Incredible
YOU ARE SO RIGHT BRO
This is a really faithful live rendition of their only single release that I'm aware of; on the Charisma label in 1979.
Check out his Rocking Chair album from the 70's. Blesses me to no end!
OMG THE BEST
That was awesome! Never heard that song before!
Hey guys, This is Mike from Wakefield. It is great to see and hear you. It has been over 40 years since we played at Mr. Lucky's. Maybe Wakefield will have a reunion and reciprocate with a RUclips video. Great Job!!
Thanks for that incredible history!
Great song for a great occasion! I am amazed that he sounds as good as he always has! Jonathan needs to tour around a bit!
Jonathan's music keep me alive about ten years ago! God bless him!
AMEN HE IS AWESOME
OMG INCREDIBLE.
I named my son after this guy!
Jonathan this is just so good, only few can understand, god love ya.
R.I.P. Marty :( (She didn't make it)
Johnathan Edwards is an awesome singer. Like seeing him with Kenny White on the keys too. I sat in with him at the Lone Star in New York and got to play Shanty with him and me on piano. Brought the house down. Great memories.
@glenmann62 Must be his lucky pants... kind of like Superman's "pants"...
why does he wear the red pants in almost every video?
Jonathan Edwards is sooo awesome -- to see him live in concert is one of my most favorite -- he puts on a wonderful show!
WISH I COULD
just beautiful. never've heard this before. love this man. excellent!
Sure wish I could hear him sing Emma!!!!
I first saw this guy when I was 15 years old in 1972 at the City Hall in Portland Maine, I just saw him last night here in Portland and the guy is better than ever. This guys one of the all time best, too bad he doesn't get the recognition he deserves.
SOOOOOO TRUE
Really sweet song! Nice guy with lots of talent!
twin brother you are exactly right. I'm learning this today and playing until my fingers bleed. So powerful. Why doesn't youtube have a repeat button.
Shanty is one of the best songs ever written.
I love this guy....but could someone please get him on the "Extreme Makeover" show.lmao....pink pants and a faded grey t shirt! Must not be married..lol Thanx for posting this - I really enjoyed it
HAHHAHAH!!! You're right!!!
He looks like Red Foreman with a goatee
this is just awesome. i've watched it several times. i posted it on myspace to share with friends, and am on the verge of completely burning it out. what a talent this guy is.
Jonathan Your always dead on man! Thanks so much for being there. Roger halifax NS Canada
Thanks for posting. I bought his albums years ago...my fav if I recall was "King of Hearts". If you haven't heard it, go find it. It is awesome. I hope he is back performing and comes to California. kat
ok never mind i know who he is now my brain was asleep lol.
i have never seen are heard of this guy before who is he? I know that may sound like a dumb qustion, but mabey you can tell me of some hit he may of had....he kinda reminds me of gorden lightfoot of whom iam a huge fan.
sounds like Steven Stills
This guy is still every bit as good as he was back then... Love Sunshine!
the guy is a gift
When's the next reunion? I want to be there! Loved these guys for years! Thanks for sharing. Joelle
What a treat! 30 years ago, I was one of several groupies from Hitchcock (my ex-Bobby, Derwood, Barb, Steve) who would drive miles & miles through horrific weather conditions to see this band every weekend possible. They were the best cover band w/great original music, too. Hearing a song on the radio, Bobby would say, "That's Uriah Heap doing the Davis Brothers." Thank you, DBG, for the memories & mayo1954for sharing. Hope you are all healthy and happy. Love, Joelle
Marty died last year - God Bless her soul. Jonathan was kind enough to stop by at this fundraiser for Marty when he heard about her serious condtion. He was actually scheduled for a concert at the Lebanon, NH Opera House that evening. -----------------------------------MAYO 1954
In '06, Marty Laymen-Mendonca was in Scotland, on vacation, and beaten near to death by a recently out of jail woman-beater. She may be dead by now, she still could be in a coma,or she could be fine. I suspect Marty taught at this school, as this is a concert for her. So _what_ if Johnathan's at a high school. At least he's there for her......
Man, this guy still rocks! when I die, I want to come back as him
belive it or not, my dad named me after this guy! i thought it was dumb as a kid, but the older i get...........the more it makes sense. luv you dad
great song

Man! This man has always had an amazing voice, emotionally moving songs and total sincerity in his delivery..it just does NOT get any better than this!
what is the name of this song
