Piety to Agony is an eclectic metal band based in Los Angeles/Orange County, formed in the spring of 2016 by guitarists Nissyo and Yüfei. The band name was coined by Yüfei and indicates a specific interest in the significance of obstacle and defeat in human development, a theme that they are to interpret and permute constantly as they evolve, as both artists and human beings.
Their self-titled debut EP was released in January, 2019, consisting of three songs that discuss topics ranging from Platonism, existentialism, to multiculturalism. The band is now immediately working on a full-length album expected in the second half of 2019.

「大約五年前，是昱飛把我帶進金屬圈，然後順理成章地把我圈成X的小迷弟的。X這個名字其實在我還在高中的時候就已經略有耳聞，但當時卻對他們頗有偏見。那時我只知道鼓手打鼓打到把頸椎都給甩斷，後來在昱飛的介紹之後才了解到這個傳奇天團的水到底有多深。
也是非常地巧，在我和昱飛組成了Piety to Agony這支樂隊之後，剛好遇上了關於X的紀錄片《We Are X》的上映。在洛杉磯看首映的過程中，我有好幾度全身上下起滿疙瘩，而作為X的死忠粉的昱飛，我更是從來都沒有看過平日嚴肅的他放聲痛哭成那樣。

最初のギターソロの部分がライブバージョンで無くて原曲バージョンなのが解ってるなと思うし凄く嬉しい。 「ART OF LIFE弾いてみた」の動画だと最初のギターソロの部分は大抵ライブバージョンのギターソロの再現が多くて残念な事が多い中、原曲のバージョンでの演奏は非常に嬉しいしありがたい。 しかも物凄く上手くカッコ良く演奏してくれてるし。

Wow, by far the BEST guitar cover of this song that I've ever seen. Not only did both of you nail the entire song flawlessly in 1 take, but you even nailed all the harmonic parts AND solos (well, I guess they became duets, lmao). And to top it all, you also sounded great. Other covers on this site always have bad guitar tones, horrible technique or out-of-tune bends. Not you guys though. Perfect cover!
