I myself grew up a bit of an "alt" type of kid, and am still somewhat into that stuff and because of this I like some of Tattoo Golf's apperal, I was wondering what would you say in regaurds to some of their stuff? I mean I do always make sure it's nice an clean, but some of there apperal is a bit on the "edgy" side when it comes to golf apperal since they do incorporat alot of skulls and the like into their designs, like The blade polo or the Bad Lies polo from them for example. So what are your thoughts on them?

Shorts are fine, as long as they're respectable. Nobody should wear a backwards hat at anytime, just children. Grow up if you do. Definitely no music, unless you're on the course by yourself. We don't shake hands anymore, we fist pump and definitely no shadows.

Another STUPID video on how to measure shaft! What if someone doesn't know what the heal of club head is? What if the club head is removable/adjustable? Can't anyone make a sensible video that actually demonstrates how to do this!!!!!?????

@@Golfspantips Sure it would. Just because someone plays does not mean they are familiar with the terminology of the golf club parts. But a video of an actual measuring demonstration that simply shows a visual of someone doing an actual measurement of this type on a driver and an iron would be much more informative. TY

dunno if you talked about it. A few days ago I was playing a round and were on the green when I asked this one guy if he wanted to go before me so I don't step into the guy's line we were waiting for. He said "We'd have to step on a line regardless" and just stepped into my line. Before you step in my line... ASK IF YOU CAN!!!! If you ask and I say it's fine, okay no problem. But without asking? I will be pretty pissed at you because that is soo disrespectful!!!!

Although I personally agree with your take on dress codes at a golf course, it is probably better to tackle behavior and proper conduct, which will lead to better choices concerning attire. For each time you hear Clint say "dress code", simply replace it with "behavior." When Clint says "t-shirts," "cargo shorts," "untucked shirts," "joggers," "(non-golf) tennis shoes," etc. simply replace it with "slow play," "loud music in the cart," "lewd language," etc. With the proper conduct, one usually sees proper attire.

The bane of my golf outings are slow golfers. It is astoundingly consistent that there are always tons of them everywhere and they have really no clue that they're playing slow or just don't care. A 4 hour round gives you 13 minutes per hole and a 5 minute break at the turn. If you can't play in that time frame you should just quit golf and find a new sport and I don't care if you're in a fivesome. That's an absolute eternity but people can't do it and most course don't enforce it. The 4 hour round HAS to be the standard and it's not.

I am finding it harder and harder to not get frustrated when out on my favorite course. It is a beautiful links layout and very well maintained, but the number of etiquette-challenged knuckleheads I encounter is increasing by the day. It doesn't help that there are no marshals to enforce the rules. Sad. BTW, I make it a point to repair my ball marks and two others on every hole. I think it makes the golf gods happy because my putting is usally pretty good, ha-ha! Just doing my part.

Disagree. Ready golf, in fact is officially stated as what is expected on courses that I play. Untucked shirts and shorts are just fine. LPGA players might be surprised to find that shorts ruin the game of golf. Long standing rules that don’t make sense need to be jettisoned. It wasn’t that long ago the golf rule makers thought that allowing people of color and Jewish people to play would ruin golf.

I agree with the music. Just be reasonable with it. I will disagree with untucked shirts and ready golf. If you're ready and closer, but your partner is further away and not ready, I am ok with hitting. It does speed things up, which has become a major issue on some course. As far as cell phones, I can go either way. I have a GPS app on my phone, but that is the only time I will look at my phone. Even my wife knows that if she texts me while golfing, I won't see it until I am back at the car. It's my one time without the phone!
