Bro, thanks for sharing your video. Saw it for the 1st time right now. This is the 1st ever interview/experience i heard of someone who was at DW or DL and tell us how was the vibe that day and the next. Yuppp 9/11 will always be a day we never forget. I was in middle school 8th grade when that happened. Thank you for your story.

I was also 4 years old when 9/11 happened and I as you said "the only memory I tell my self I have" or two very vague memories I have are one, me and my siblings getting ready for school, since I was in preschool I was always the last one to be dropped off at school, so I was in the car with my dad, taking my older siblings to their school and they were saying in the car radio that there had been an accident at the WTC, I don't remember that specifically, however what I do remember is as soon as we were almost arriving at my school the people in the radio sounded all freaked out and my dad was acting scared and shocked, even cursing which was very unusual for him to do in front of us at that age (I guess that's when the 2nd plane hit and everyone realized it was not an accident), and then coming home from school later that day I just remember running all around, playing as I always used to but my parents and even my olders siblings had this "vibe", I mean even people at school had that same vibe, I guess they were trying hard not to panic or show too much fear since they needed to stay calm not to scare us children not older than 5... but even at 4 years old you could sense something was off, back at home my family was watching the news about what had happened that morning and a remember very vaguely that I stopped for a second as they were showing footage from earlier, when the second plane hit the tower and I just could not understand, as a little kid you don't really process this kind of stuff, you just sense something is not right but that's it, and I guess the fear and sadness my family had was passed to me, cause that night I was feeling sad and scared, but didn't quite understand why... Being a little kid on 9/11 was definitely confusing, scary and weird

My parents called out and took me out of school (9th grade) and we went the next day. We lived somewhat nearby and had annual passes and just needed some kind of diversion. I was 13, so I remember it really well. Magic Kingdom was so empty and eerie. Not hearing planes was so weird. The lines were incredibly short - we could walk onto pretty much anything and there were openings at all of the sit down restaurants. It was so surreal.

I was going through some trauma of my own due to abuse unfortunately, so the only time i remember learning about it is when i was in 3rd grade and there was the picture with the fire fighters holding up the American flag at ground zero in my social studies book and we were learning about it. So all i know are second hand experiences.

I lived in California. I woke up to my mom crying on the couch in the dark. I was in third grade, I had just recently been skipped up from second grade. I saw the second plane hit the second tower, and I saw them both fall on live television. School was awful that day. I think my teacher got some bad news that morning related to the incident. The “bad kid” of the class was doing his normal shit, and she snapped on him in a way that is burned into my memory. She didn’t say anything mean or out of pocket. It was her tone and her facial expression. She said, “you know what?? ..not today! You will be quiet today, or you will leave my classroom.”

I started working for Disney in California in 2002. I worked as a Reservation Agent for the Disneyland resort. We had specific protocol for taking calls because there were threats for Disneyland and other large entities like it. Our building was even unmarked. We would go to a Business complex food court across the street and we were to remove our name badges so no one would know who we worked for. People would ask us what we do in that building and we'd just say we work for an entertainment company. Crazy time.

9/11 was two weeks after my eighth birthday, so I couldn't really comprehend what it meant. My dad working in Chicago called in his crew and called off the day around 9:30. My mom was off, and after a short assembly, picked my younger brother and I up from school. Coming home, I was just confused over why every channel was showing the same thing and no one had Pokémon on.

I was working at a corporate kitchen in California ...all the kitchen workers had the radio on listening to Spanish music ,and then the news happened,we heard it all in Spanish ......I speak only a little basic Spanish enough to know that it was an emergency / fire ......but I kept saying no no ,those buildings will be damaged but they can never fall down ....the big tech company we worked for let all its office workers go home ,but they told everyone in the kitchen to stay the full day .......no tech workers came to the lunch cafeteria ,they all went home and we were right by a major airport ,and freeway .....people were scared .......no plane flew for the next three days ,the skies were so eerily quiet ..........................workers on the Windows of the World restaurant were trapped at the top of the tower and all died .....I felt a kinship to them .................................................there were only 2 other times in my 70 years of life that the death news stopped all people literally in their tracks and that was when Kennedy was shot in Dallas and when Michael Jackson died

So I had a Disney getaway planned with my girlfriend at the time of 9/11. We live in Florida so we drove to our hotel on Wednesday the 12th. There was a huge tropical storm coming through on the next day (Thursday) but the parks opened and it was just us and another couple riding the monorail to the Magic Kingdom. 4 people! That morning there was maybe 20 to 50 people there. It was pouring out off and on. We rode every single ride 3 times and were finished by lunchtime. They did have a moment of silence and stopped everything for the National Anthem. I have all this on video as well.

I was in my German class in highschool at the time. Teacher couldn't stop us from turning the TV on, you know students had their own personal universal remotes they'd use to bug teachers sometimes. I knew someone who had a watch that even did it. Teachers tried, acting like it wasn't something serious, until it became obvious it was something serious, then pretty much no classes were teaching the whole day. We went class to class like scheduled, but we just watched the news in class. I honestly, I honestly think it was the only time I ever shed a tear while in high school, in front of other students. I'm a big history buff, never had to study once in any social studies or history classes. I knew what was going to happen, I knew more people would die well beyond those at the towers, it was going to be a war. Good, bad, innocent alike. I didn't feel that same level of dred again until Russia's invasion of Ukraine in 2022. That sense of fear of what might happen, what is going to happen. I stayed up each night for weeks just watching live footage people uploaded on the internet, each night fearing Kiev would fall. Then to be utterly surprised they held.

I remember knowing something was up when classmate after classmate were being called to the office to be picked up by their parents. I genuinely thought there was a picnic or something that I wasn’t invited to. Then I got called down to be picked up. My mom sat us down once we got home and gently told us what happened.
