It should also be noted that soil will wick moisture until it reaches a feild capacity. This means the mix must be correct for the intended plants use. Over wintering plants, should be allowed to dry. It is a good idea with all plants to meet them breath by drying and wetting pulling air through the substrate.

I’ve been torn between moving to New Hampshire or Maine to start my own Homestead. I’ve lived in Massachusetts most of my life and I’m sick and tired of the regulations and taxes. I’m wondering if New Hampshire is friendly towards smaller farming operations and working farmers markets for a living.

Ive tried wick irrigation in hydroponics and it didn't work........im interested in how you do it, how do you fertilize ? I found the wick system in the 5 gallon buckets , did not pick up the hydroponic nutrition well,
