    A few of my favorite theories on where wokism comes from: 1) Wokism in the corporations comes from Civil Rights legislation and accompanying supreme court cases in the 1960s through the early-1980s. If you look at the groundwork for what we now consider to be “diversity, equity and inclusion“ as being a primarily exclusionary force within society (that places men behind women, white people behind all “POC“, and “marginalized” before the normative people) it has its roots in the Civil Rights era and the re-founding of the US legal framework along racial lines. Affirmative Action and quotas which discriminate against men and the racial majority were put into law, and the majority didn’t see horrible effects of this until around 2013 once companies began hiring after the 2007-crash-induced hiring freeze. Social media helped spread this ideology at this time. 2) Competition for elite jobs. As too many people receive the credentials (usually a college degree) that were effective in the 1990s, but not longer are, the new generation looks for ways to bump competition out of the game. Wokism is a way to remove a large portion of the American workforce (men, white people) from major companies. It at the very least halts companies from hiring men out of college in favor of over-hiring women to achieve parity between men and women ,due to the middle managers and executives being male-dominated. 3) Wokism in the universities comes primarily from the disparate impact of the Vietnam draft in the 1960s and 1970s. Left-wing people seeking to avoid the draft went to college and stayed through to get graduate degrees. Far fewer conservatives did the same. The result? Even as recently as 1994, one quarter of college professors were identified as conservative but today that number is close to zero in most academic departments. I would also like to remind everybody reading this, that a disproportionate amount of people who work in major corporations are unmarried and childless. When JD Vance went after the “childless cat ladies“, it’s something like 30% of millennial women are on track to not have children. A disproportionate amount of those childless millennial women will find a social outlet through careers, so we might reasonably estimate that roughly 50% of millennial women who work at major corporations do not have children. I bring this up to help people understand that corporations are run by people who are shortsighted and don’t really care to pass anything functional onto the next generation. The decline in marriage and birth rates has meant that the people who are no longer participating in those institutions, find their social outlets inside other institutions, where they are equally dysfunctional, and those institutions themselves fall into disrepair and suffer reputational damage.

    Hello and thank you for a great discussion. I suggest that it is not that men are more difficult to *disgust, but that women's lust, which overcomes disgust at the start, but wanes over time, so that disgust exceeds the lust, while men's lust does not wane as much, so that men's lust more likely exceeds disgust factors. Also, men are conditioned by society to never say no, to always say yes, to be red-blooded, to not be gay, so men are conditioned to have sex even if they don't want to. * I am disgusted by dirty nappies. Very disgusted, by the sight and smell and the thought of it. So much that I just don't do it, ever. Women seem much more motivated to deal with dirty nappies than men.

    De growth isn't about whether yo can feed a certain amount of people or not, its about whether you can keep the necessary economic growth with the current and foreseeable technology and resources . You don't grow an economy just by being able to feed people, you need to create added value on a regular basis and for that you need energy at an affordable prices, not at any price, which means you need a decent energy return rate and here is when the troubles begins. Since this rate is been declining due to the exhaustion of the most easily accessible deposits, hence the cheapest to extract, and the increase in demand we are being forced to expand our capabilities of creating or finding new energy sources with the current technology , not because of climate change as it's constantly argued, at an affordable price . In order to achieve that we have developed and still developing , since they are far from mature enough, new technologies which needs almost all the elements of the periodic table hence a lot of investment , capital and time to be capable of making up for the decline of the traditional ones. You may say we don't know what the advances would be like tomorrow but just have to look back and see the claims made decades ago about hydrogen or nuclear, this last one was predicted to be so cheap that we wouldn't even need to install light meters in our homes. We will see, but degroth is far from a religious sort of cult but a line of thought scientifically based.

    The psychological reality is one that should be studied, i am a product of my age and neither me nor my partner will ever have kids and I have resigned myself to two certainties. 1: Capitalisim and wealth distribution has stolen any prospects for an emergant midle class i.e. no property no assets. 2: even as a highly educated person with a job and a partner i plan for assisted suiced as soon as i reach the age of 55 to 60 depending on my physical condition. People are not having kids becuase there is no future apart from suffering and it is getting worse. By 2030 inequalities will reduce the world to disposable wage slaves. The poperty owning class will be the 1%. Read a book called The New Human Rights Movment & a book called The Capital Order. Our future is bleak if trends continue cant have kids if we have no food. How will population decline affect Insurance Companie?

    • @WisdomRebellion
      @WisdomRebellion 18 дней назад

      Interesting question - beyond the obvious of less customers, I would think the prices will go up as insurance companies make their money through scaling the number of clients, less population, less business, possibly more risk exposure depending on what's being insured and then the savings in scale are not going to be as easy to come by. Medical insurance could see a new boom as governments start to struggle looking after their elderly and the quality of care becomes unacceptable.

    Diversity: Divisive, victim/ victimizer categories based on race, sex, sexual orientation and religion. It inherently undermines our common humanity and reduces people to group identity rather than recognizes us as individuals. Inclusion: The destruction of everything that is NOT “inclusive” to “diverse” (victimized groups) which is all of western civilization. Examples include: the police isn’t inclusive to black people so it has to go; the concept of biological sex isn’t inclusive to trans people so it has to go; the western art historical canon is not inclusive to POC (not diverse enough) so it has to go; boarders aren’t inclusive to POC so they have to go, etc. An ideologue can just come in and destroy a person or institution by claiming they said or did something that wasn’t “inclusive” (cancel culture). The ideologies don’t really have an idea of what to replace these institutions with, they just destroy. Equity: Equality of outcome between every fractured group identity in every possible domain, which is not only physically impossible to implement but would require a giant tyranny that would destroy our rights, such as freedom of speech, freedom of association and freedom of movement. You now have a population that is totally confused, divided and doesn’t know how to self govern or think straight. They can’t think logically because they destroyed the wisdom of the past and think that anything that isn’t politically correct can’t be true. Rather than having a culture that unites the people and allows for political asymmetry, you have a divided population with nothing that aligns them, so they replace it with absolute political conformity (DEI). This makes it easy for tyranny to take over.

    I was in the sociology dept. in the 1990's, and saw exactly that. A male prof was denied tenure because a few grad students accused him of sexism. He was a little odd, but not that. The ideas pushed at the university do not work well in the general population where they lose nuance and become a virtue signalling conformity tool for fools.

      There're some major changes happening in UK universities, falling confidence of the public, dropping standards and they're struggling financially - many students drop out after a term or two. I would imagine the falling public confidence and dropping standards in the States too, but not sure if they are also under financial pressures.

    • @vikkipollard2638
      @vikkipollard2638 20 дней назад

      @@WisdomRebellion I think the dropping standards begins early in elementary/primary grades and continues. Only a very few students that have the ability and the parental guidance to get to a university standard make it, even as standards decline. Schools don't prioritize vital academics, rather they focus on social/political manipulation that encourage students to feel either inadequate or victimized. Many mental health issues afflict our youth. Financing education can be a problem across the board, and those that can afford it may not have the mental or emotional capacity to see it through. Add to that the number of people who have a degrees, particularly in the arts and social sciences, the lack of actual related jobs availalble, and you have the collapse of higher education, and apparently the rest of society too. Trade schools are a good option for many. Personally I think many aspects of Universities are toxic, and I should know, I contributed to it many years ago. It's a system that they have brought upon themselves. In recents years I have felt that universities were presenting themselves as business, but their business model is failing. Yet there are still too many admins that do just fine.

    she makes a good point regarding men using violence to silence someon etc- its a good to remember that both men and women express toxic traits, albiet differently getting punched in the face and sent to the bottom of the male heierrachy in a group is surely damaging both physically and psychologically. Though, the damage is usually short lived. The physical pain subsides and you arent usually extradited from a group or community and your ability to survive or build a life isn't prohibited by the action itself. In today's culture its also possible to simply move on from the incident, eve within your local community and away from the perpetrator and build a life with new group, even within the community itself cancelling someone (the way its emerged during recent years at least) involves an attempt and completely destroying the other persons social reputation and standing within a community. It can have long lasting and far reaching consequences on someones ability to participate in certain aspects of economy or society depending the level of social damage that's been inflicted and with today's ever increasing globalised culture can reach far wider communities than your local village tribe of the past. It's end goal is a form of punishment that seeks to remove someone from the tribe effectively killing them (in the past if your tribe was your lifeline)

    I disagree with Kat on this one. Most males I know want freedom of choice to be in the kids life or not. We find it disgusting that we can’t decide for ourselves. This will also give more accountability for women to decide better partner or stop one night stands altogether. This will lead to better outcomes for children.

      I would be surprised if no one did disagree with me on this one. Where would you draw a line between wanting freedom and having certain responsibility for your actions? Overall I would prefer to create incentive structures that keep both women and men accountable for their actions. Men also have a choice of deciding on better partners or not engaging in fleeting romances - on average though it's men who are more likely to choose quantity over quality. With the current system there are no winners.

Of course there will be a big demand for abortion as long as there is a big incidence of pre-marital sex.

    Mother Earth will breathe a sigh of relief, to be safe from this horrid density. Lower density will reduce this phenomenum.

    This whole thing is based on the premise that the mothers are married and have a very high earning man. What happens if that is not the case? What happens when the marriage doesn’t last because the husband cheats? In that case the woman sacrifices her career for children but then after the divorce she is not very employable. In this case the women end up being much poorer. There is a study which states that women who were housewives end up much poorer after divorce because they never prioritized their career. The chances of this happening in todays world are much higher

      I was always taught, " If you have children, be prepared to take care of them because life happens to the best of marriages," illness, death and divorce. " I never gave up my career. I worked from home and/ or had a lot of help from my parents. I have been able to find a balance between family and career. Don't ever leave yourself vulnerable. Yes, prioritize your children but always have your own money.

    Falling birthrates only concern Western societies, It is also natures way of controlling over-population. Our finite planet can only support so many consumers.

    One danger of using feminism as the basis for your argument, even if you're trying to rebuke it. You buy into it's dogmas. For one, you take healthy men as being pathological, then you use the vitmhood paradigm to explain why their pathologies aren't their fault. Today we have a series of addiction problems, social media, cornography, video games that affect people's ability to relate to each other very directly, and we have absolutely men problems, for example, how the school system favors girls, and it is almost as if it is designed to turn boys into nihilists. Yet, putting a lot of feminist sauce on top of all of it does not help, it just slows the conversation.

    Birth rates will continue going down. It’s not faith, or the lack of it. It’s not money, or the lack of it. It’s time, or the lack of it. What is time made of? It's made up of 4 elements when there's room for only 3 of them, unless you want to be heading towards fundamental dissatisfaction due to a lack of time - a dissatisfaction that can lead to burn-out and the destruction of a personality. The 4 elements are: 1) Sleep. 2) Work. 3) Family (children). 4) ‘Leisure’ (screens, reading, love, friendships, solitude, playing a musical instrument, personal development, etc.) Can you do without sleep? Obviously not. Cutting back on sleep is bad for your health. Very. Can you do without work? Yes, if you were born with a silver spoon in your mouth. In other words: no, you can't. That leaves only two adjustment variables. If you are reasonable, you do what the watchdogs of reasonable living keep telling you: when you reach ‘adulthood’, you behave like an adult and drastically reduce the amount of time you devote to ‘leisure’, particularly screen time. But here's the snag: living an adult life, a reasonable life, is the best way to miss out on life. This has become impossible to hide.

    Thoughtless tripe. We are now 3.000 times more numerous than were our last ecologically balanced and self-sustaining ancestral migratory Hunter-Gatherer bands/clans. Our depletion of natural resources and increasing dependence on burning fossil fuels is driving climate collapse, so Mother Nature is well along in Her efforts to cleanse this once beautiful and ecologically balanced planet of its human scourge, including Kat Kuczynska. How's that for "support"?
