Yeah… Not that easy. It takes between 8-10 years to get an endometriosis diagnosis. It cant be detected through blood tests (it can only measure the markers for a protein which may be higher in women with endometriosis but not always) nor can it be seen on an ultrasound unless you have cysts or masses, but theres no way to identify naturally occurring cysts from those caused by endometriosis. MRIs likewise cant detect endometriosis very accurately, unless you have masses or lesions large enough to be detected which not everyone with endometriosis will. If a doctor suggests anything other than a laparoscopy for a endometriosis diagnosis, they are 100% just wasting your time and money (depending on where you live).

For me it also meant a major surgery to remove a large ovarian cyst. They also repositioned the womb to relieve lower back pain.

The Healthcare Facilities were allowed to be in suh mess for year under many Administrations. Now we see substantive work being done across tge Island. Yet, nany with other agendas saying "nutten naw geaan fi Healthcare." That's a fakse statement. More need to be done for sure! But a lit is being done! * Selected Hospitals in all regions are being fixed in this phase (May Pen, Chapelton, Sav-la-mar, Noel Holmes, St. Anns Bay, Princess Margaret, Spanish Town, CornwallRegional...etc.). There are also several health centers being renovated across all regions (NERHA, SERHA, SRHA, & WHRA). New X-Ray, CT Scan, Ultrasound Machines, MRI being procured/installed. I BLAME THE LOUSY PUBLIC RELATIONS DEPARTMENTS IN THE VARIOUS REGIONS AND MINISTRYIF HEALTH& WELLNESS. PLAYING GAMES AND NOT FOCUSSING ON THE WORK BEING DONE!

Very great start to inform our people about the danger of sugar but I think if we are addressing sugar or glucose in take we ofto understand the danger of all acidic GMO wheat products that breaks down to glucose,. It's very dangerous on the body it actually damage the cells and cause infalmation and confusion at a cellular level and actual leads to over 200 autoimmune conditions including diabetes ,u name it, according to research.... So as time goes by we should make it a real food's day ....... exclude no factory food but eat only food coming straight form the plants (vergin food )

In answer to Dr Grants question, re the interoperability platform and how it will be different from exisitng databases, in order to get the data we need especially re outbreaks we have to be intentional about the data we want to have, so it goes back to the plannning stage of the data cycle and the approach being championed by the Information Systems for Health Department to sit with clinicians and to garner the data that is needed and to translate that into a method that can be shared with developers. I beleive this new approach can help to mitigate some of those issues.
