Crunchy Blacks & Timeless Shots: A Journey with Olympus InfinityZoom210 & Expired Kodak TriX 400

This was an incredibly fun get right with the Olympus InfinityZoom 210. The way this camera handled the 1998 expired Kodak TriX 400 was simple beautiful. I knew going into the shooting that this camera was going to just nail that crunchy black with this film. I am shooting at box speed and from my experience so far, the results are superb. I shot this roll in Mesilla, NMa historic unique part o...
Shooting Expired Kodak TriX 400 on a Yashica GSN and Ricoh XR-7

Shooting both the Ricoh XR-7 and the Yashica Electro 35 GSN was absolute joy to shoot. Each had it’s own vibe when you shot them. The Ricoh looked more like a big boy camera with the large Marge 35-70mm f3.5 mounted to the front. The Yashica made me feel of course like Spider-Man, albeit a fat Spider-Man but it made feel like a street photographer. That was more or less the approach for this pa...

for my 40th birthday I took off from work and that morning Las Cruces decided to sprinkle a little sugar on the organ mountains too. I of course went out that morning for photos. I was extremely delighted to see this play out on the drive to the trail. I went to the yucca I love and have shot for many years. Really cold morning with lots of cloud movement. I snapped as I walked the trail and th...
vintage lenses and a micro four thirds camera

A morning out with 2 vintage lenses. One being a Super Takumar 50mm F2 acquired from a Pentax Spotmatic. The other a Canon FD 50mm F1.8. Both have been adapted to my canon 300d in the past and this will be first dedicated morning to these lenses on the Lumix gx85. I ventured off trail on the Sierra Vista Trail here in Las Cruces, NM. I found a gathering of rocks that had a cave, or rather some ...

FD mount lens on a micro four thirds camera

I have a Canon AE-1 that came with a nice bit of kit that had three lenses and a 2x extender. I recently purchased a FD lens mount adapter for my Lumix gx85 and it arrived in the mail today. I have been wanting to use these lenses on Ol Lu the moment I came across the AE-1. They were extremely clean and sharp looking. The three lenses in that kit are the following. ToyoOptics 80-200mm f4.5 Toyo...

Love your shots(: what film did you shoot with?
Hello sorry for the delay. I was using some expired konica 50 color film on this one
Your collection is inspiring and your images are fire! 🔥 1.
Sorry for not alreapi.ding to you! Went on a little hiatus. Happy you enjoyed it. I will admit the collection has grown since this video lol. I don't have a problem, I can quit anytime lol. I'm currently watching your collection video now and so far, awesome.
@@Thebroketographer preciate the look. Still have same number but mostly different cameras now. Glad you enjoyed.
This channel deserves more views. I like the way you share your creative medium
Thanks. I appreciate it. I should be getting back into things soon.
Good comparison. Been meaning to try this very same thing myself. 👍👍
Thank you! You should totally do it. What type of cameras would you be shooting with if you did?
@@Thebroketographer Hello JT. I would be using my Canon M50, Ricoh TLS Singlex, and Minolta SR-T 201. It would probably have to warm up here quite a bit before I would take on this type of comparison. Have a Good One now.
That timelapse was awesome! Great photos too
Thank you. Every once in a while I get a good couple shots.
Excellent episode, man. I think the cat is finally out of the bag on these Olympus point and shoots. Super sharp lenses and they go for peanuts compared to things like the T2. A lot of these mildly vintage point and shoots offer insane quality but it's just that a lot of people don't know about them yet...thank God. I've got an Olympus IS-20 DLX that's a beast of a little camera.
I have had an affinity for the olympus cameras, hell I named both my dogs after cameras and one is Oly. Lol. Those t2 cameras and the higher priced point and shoots are cool and all but there are so many out there that perform similar too if not better than those celebrity backed options. Do I want one? Absolutely but i camt justify the price in my mind. I found this one in a thirft store here in Las Cruces. It has been the best 5 bucks I've spent in a long time. I can't wait to see how it performs with color film. That video will be out when I get my color developers. Tremendously fun experience with this chunk of plastic. Thanks for watching the video dude!
That's a hell of a nice shirt around the 4:56 mark 😁 Excellent episode, man. Maybe one of your best I think. And I would never had guessed that Tri-X was that long expired. Looks great.
Thanks. This film is coming out incredible! I'm shooting at box speed too. I need work on the scanning in part, but I am very happy with the images I nabbed up. I have about 13 more rolls of that expired kodak trix 400. I think the youngest is 2003 and most pre 2000. I have LOADS of expired color ready to rock and I've got the chemicals ready to buy when I'm ready for that. Its going to fun. Thanks again
Please keep the m43 contents
Very beautiful scenery 😍 - I'm supposed to get this cam delivered later today. What lens did you use? I hope I can capture beauty like this soon 🔥.
That's awesome. I have the lumix gx85 for a little over 3 years now. I shot these photos and typically shoot with the kit 12-32mm that comes with the bundle. I have recently bought a few lens adapters to use with some vintage glass I've come across. Check out my Instagram @moosephotography I post all the time and like I said it's with the kit lens majority of the time. Hope ulyoure having fun with the new camera. Let me know of you questions on the camera too if you need help with anything.
@@Thebroketographer definitely going to give a follow on IG and looking forward to some more awesome content 🔥
Very cool man. How do you like that 7Artisians? Looks fairly solid judging from the pics.
The 7artisans is nice sometimes lol. It has a very nice bokeh but suffers from a very large blue lens flare when I'm shooting landscape shots. You kind of see it on the first boarded up house. I can't complain too much on it, it was very cheap. The construction is very solid though. Nice smooth focus, justnwish it clicked on the aperture ring. I've got a fd lens adapter coming tomorrow so I can't wait tonsee what those ae-1 lens will do on ol Lu
@@Thebroketographer Dude that's awesome about the FD adapter! I just got one for my OM lenses as well haha
