Domenico DRAGONETTI - Waltz No. 3 (from "Twelve Waltzes")
Tobias GLÖCKLER - Double Bass
(played on a 1776 Double Bass by Michelangelo BERGONZI from Versari Collection, Venice with Dragonetti style bow, ca. 1840.)
The charming "Twelve Waltzes" (around 1840) are quite likely the earliest surviving works for double bass solo. They are not only suited for a recital programme but are also perfect encores.
Recorded at San Maurizio Church / Music Museum of Venice, Italy
on May 30, 2024.

this composition is original for the double bass?
No as I know it's for cello
@@noyemimailyan6313 Correction - some have postulated it was written for Cello - but recent research & discussion reveals Rossini actually wrote it for double bass. Many cellists think it's standard fare for the cello - but it ain't.
