How to repressurise Your Boiler / Central Heating System
Hi. Please do I need to power up the boiler before bleeding it ? I tried it but there’s no air bubbles coming out. Although the boiler was not powered up while doing it. Thanks.
Hi, you need to reset the boiler while the vent screw is loosened off, do not remove the vent screw while carrying out this process as the pump will be under pressure and will flow at a high rate. If you don't feel like you can do this yourself please call a local OFTEC heating engineer.
Mera sound bar kharab ho gaya
@@rajeshwaghela4105 sorry to hear about your soundbar issue, hope you get sorted!
Will leave the video on repeat just for the music
It's Morpho Diana • Rachel K Collier
@@solvltd thank you, I appreciate that
Hi, we've got water in the line. Would it be the same process to get the water out?
No, we would advise to get an engineer out to investigate where the water ingress is coming from and clear out the oil line. You may need to remove all contaminated oil from the tank, clean the tank and refill with new oil. Or worst-case scenario if the tank is comprised, you may have to replace the oil tank. Water in the line can damage the fuel pump. If you simply clear the oil line and don’t find the source of ingress it will re-occur. If you're based in NI, give us a call on 02890 451010
Initially I called for help but ended up doing it myself with your tutorial. Thank you!
Glad our tutorial video helped you! Feel free to subscribe for more useful videos and if you're based in NI and have anymore issues, give us a call on 02890 451010.
What do I do if I don't have that little brass pipe there? It's just the screw on... No hole. Can I use the little allen key valve (above the brass one on your video, to the left) on the side of the square metal part instead?
Apologies for the delay in getting back to you. If you haven't already resolved the issue and your burner doesn't resemble the one shown, we strongly advise reaching out to your local Oftec registered heating engineers. They can ensure that the boiler is being bled correctly and that no incorrect adjustments are being made to vital components. If you're based in NI - give us a call on 02890 451010. Hope you get your heating back on soon!

Glad to hear we could help! Please subscribe for more helpful how tos 🙂
is it dangerous to keep pressing the reset button if you have to repeat as i have reeated about 10 times
If the reset button isn't working, please don't press repeatedly as this can damage the oil pump. Call your local heating engineer, if you're based in Northern Ireland call us ASAP on 02890 451010.
How do you bleed a turco boilêr
If you're based in Northern Ireland, please give us a call and we will assist you. Thanks, solv

This worked perfectly for me. Ty.
That's great Rafe, glad to hear our video helped!
Thank you so much, my boiler is fixed and you’ve saved me an expensive emergency call out
Glad to hear your boiler is up and running again, problem solv'd! 😉
Bless you Stephen! Works perfectly after a night frantically trying to warm the house for guests staying over. I definitely owe you a lunch next time I'm in Belfast. To those doing it, I would say have a thick layer of newspaper down first because the oil comes out fast.
Glad to hear it worked for you @1seansouth, looking forward to that lunch when you're next in Belfast! Good tip about the newspaper or similar disposable covering for the floor 👍
Can someone tell me please if the boiler needs switching off before bleeding? Thank you
Yes@@driving_ireland, it needs to be switched off first.
No it doesn't@@driving_ireland
oh, i just see that stephen says it does. I will humbly bow before his expertise
Thank you!
I bleed mine for ages , it comes on for 10 or 15 minutes heats the rads and then it just stops working what is the problem now 🤔
It could be a blockage or a faulty pump. Not sure where you are located but we would suggest you get a local OFTEC engineer out to check, if you are based within Northern Ireland, give us a call and we can assist.
Thanks for the video, this didn’t work for me after 20 or so attempts. For me we had to get the plumber out, and essentially after the pressure dropped, the boiler overheated. This the tripped the fire safety switch outside. All that needed to be done was to switch that, and everything worked again. So if you’re having issues after over heating, it could be something simple like that.

Great video, our plumber was away for the weekend, but followed your instructions and now working perfectly. Thanks for sharing 🎉

Video helped me greatly. Didn't work on first bleed. I had to keep bleeding (repeating the procedure) until all fizzing/bubbling, air had been released
Thank you!!
Check all filters if you run out.
Thank you so much for this!
THANK YOU. I was charged £120 last time this happened. I watched this - 15 mins later job done.

I did it!! I am so grateful!! Thanks so much! 😊😚
What's the valve used for to right of your hand in the oil burner?
