Why are you only using tape and not mastic? Tape won’t do the job alone
"I visually inspected it, and it's not leaking at all". Good job👍
How do you take out a collar and patch it
Who is this jabroni?
What about your mastic dude. You missed the most important part
no more fiberglass/asbestos
Air Bud Is yanked out!
Step #1 take mastic and swipe the inside of the flex duct, step #2 slide the inside liner over the collar, step #3 add a panduit strap to the inside liner. , step #4 pull insulation over the collar and add a panduit strap. Step #5 tape the insulation to the duct all the way around. , Step# 6 spread mastic over the tape on the seam. Never use tape on the inside liner because it’s gay.
Noooooo. That’s not how you do it. HVAC guy here. This is not how you attach flex.
This guy had a Energy Drink before this demonstration 😂 😂😂
The powdered kind that goes up your nose.
Thanks for the video. If I need to connect two 6” flex ducts, can I buy a metal collar I see at HD which is crimped on both sides. There doesn’t seem to be a ridge for the panduit strap to catch on. And can I just tighten a panduit strap by hand as I’d rather not buy a panduit gun just to join 2 flex ducts? Also, what kinds of tape can I use and how wide? It’s just for AC; no heat. Is regular duct tape ok?
Because this is rocket science
Great video. Very clearly explained.
This is a joke, right?
Really Helps Thank you 🙏
I like this guy. I feel much better installing my own a/c unit and ducts after watching this video.
I'm glad I found this video. They want to charge me clean my 29 year old duct work.
I thought I had to make that box.
Wrong, he didn't put mastic on the metal collar before he put the flex on.
Air is not getting past the zip tire. There is not that much air pressure inside the hose. If you want it to be 100% air tight. Are you going to put mastic on the door of your a/c unit?
Using Mastic is an option, not a rule!
You’d put mastic on the boot after the last round of tape.
No mastic?
What tape is that?
Great video. Question would it be possible or how would it be possible to install inline duct round fan to square duct board to increase air flow to vents.
Go to an hvac supply and get 2 transition pieces to go from square to round then square again you can install the round fan between the round pieces. Best to go and ask at the hvac supply.
You really need to consider the noise. Those fans are loud. Duct fans should always be the last option.
