Goat TV
Welcome to an exciting episode of Goat TV
This is where I showcase my freeloaders ....I mean goats...
Why do I have goats?
Good question!
I got them to help keep the vegetation down around the house. That helps (a little) with mosquito habitat, fire risk, and appearance.
During the winter months, I have to tend to them by providing hay and water. Luckily, I have a large meadow for the hay, and goats are very resilient and self-sufficient. So even in winter months, they can eat snow to get their water intake.
As an added treat I give them a mixture of oats and grains designed for goats.
Hope you enjoy the entertainment 🙄
And please "like" and "subscribe". Doesn't cost you anything and it helps me...

Tree falling and Firewood day
Просмотров 26621 час назад
Wood is something I handle on a regular basis. When I moved off-grid over 6.5 years ago, I did not think it would be this much a part of my life. All year long I'm in contact with it daily. I'm either cutting it, splitting, milling, stacking, or building with it. All this interaction makes me learn a lot about it and how to work with it. Falling a tree is rarely an easy task. Each tree is diffe...
The next day after getting home from a long work trip. I am greeted by battery issues...
Просмотров 35514 дней назад
After being gone for over 3 weeks I come home to some battery issues and very demanding goats! I have a pretty basic off-grid system. I don't put a lot of strain on it and I am hoping it will last me for a long time. After this recent trip I have noticed that the batteries are draining a bit faster than they used to. Follow along and see what happens... #farmlife #rurallife #offgrid #offgridliv...

Hello, my name is Mat (Maciej) and this is a short video to introduce you to my off-grid lifestyle. I'm slowly working on building up a homestead, building a home, learning farming, haying, gardening, and lots more. I've been doing this for over 6 years now. I have a vast background in many fields but I still find I'm learning new things daily. So I hope you join me on my adventures in off-grid...

The second part of my Telkwa pass trail adventure. The morning I was met by some nasty weather which shortened my visit here. Hope you enjoy it.
Cruiser of the Land: Episode 3 - Telwka pass, part 1

Sorry about the audio, still working out bugs of recording and traveling at the same time. After some great suggestions from fellow overland explorers I decided to check out Telkwa pass. There were a few recent washouts there so I did not know what I was getting myself into....I quickly discovered it was not an easy trail...

Updated with louder audio. Hey everyone, I'm on an overlanding expedition into northern BC, Alaska and maybe Yukon, see how far I get. I'm photographing and filming everything as I go, sometimes the camera work of recording might not be perfect. It's a work in progress.
Cruiser of the Land - Episode 2: Microwave Trail

This was a few days into the trip already. I went to check out a trail recommended by a fellow off-roader. Located just outside of Smithers, BC. A well worth destination.

At the end of the road in the Chilcotin mountains. We drove as far as the trails allowed, up to 2300m elevation, then hiked to the peak at 2600m to get a glimpse of the few places not spoiled by man.

At our old family farmhouse growing up, we had a large woodstove in the basement. My dad installed a very large stainless tank (80 gallons or so, it was big) plumbed into it for hot water for the house. Seemed to work well from what I remember, not sure if it had some kind of bypass/relief as I do recall shouts of "go have a shower, there is too much hot water!"

@Xizervexius that's awesome! I will eventually do something similar. I want to build one of those old masonry fireplaces in the basement and rout plumbing through it. If built right, 1 burn will heat the house for days.

Hi, new subscriber here! Great setup! I just posted a video a couple weeks ago topping our batteries up. It’s been a rough couple weeks with this weather and the panels. It looks like sunshine today though! Have a great day!

Hello Lee, thank you. Winter time in rural areas is usually tough in many ways, and living off-grid doesn't make it easier. Hope you get some sun soon. I'm getting some good sunny days over here in the Cariboo. It's been pretty cold but not much snow. It's a bit concerning, hope that it improves in the new year. Wishing you a great day, stay warm and may nothing break ;) Mat

OverlandSquad, I only noticed that when I was editing the first video. turned out it was one of the hood mount screws for the traction pads. all good ;) nice notice though.
