SCCA Autocross in Patterson Ca. Running the old NASA air field. First time running one and first time on concrete. Very fun, and I have lots to learn as the course was very challenging. The understeer was insane and I had to realy smooth out my fast transistions. It was great for increasing skill level! C7 Grandsport takes on Thunder Hills marvelous 5 mile course. This was the first time running the GS on the 5 mile. My passenger was a ride along form the Corvette Forum, know only as theplatinumog! Mods to car are, LG Mono Ball Bushings, CCW TS12 18x11 & 18x13 wheels, 4 day old R7 Slicks in 285/30/18 & 335/30/18, DTC 70/60 brake pads, DBA rotors and Sparco Evo 2 Race Seat with 6 point.

Beautiful drive along Northern CA winter roads. Following a ZL1 1LE! Good for checking out some cool CA roads and a ZL1 from the rear.

Broke in the 1LE's cherry. Its maiden track day was a success. Previous best time in 2011 SS was a 2:06. Hit a new best of 2:02.40. Track conditions were 50 degree ambient temp and lots of dirt

Dec 17th, 50 degree ambient temp slicks dirty track = new best lap. GT4 tries to stay ahead and spins out.

Muffler delete does drone. I ended up going to AWE with Borla x pipe. It was perfect with no drone.

I.m actually surprised he spun out in that fashion.... I have a similar car and do a bunch of track driving and it’d be hard to spin out at that angle if you’re competent.... looks like he was under steering, slammed on the brakes and totally messed up the weight transfer
Couldn't tell if he was on the brakes before or after he broke traction. I'm thinking he mashed the accelerator a bit too hard trying to pull a tight angle and he lost the back end. Hard to tell.
@@fatdoggolovespizza its possible, but on these Porsches, the low end to mid-end power isn't really there to break traction with a bad throttle stab. It'd be really hard to do, unless he mistakenly did a clutch kick or something.
He missed the apex through the previous turn and was off line with too much speed in that section and probably realized he was going to understeer off track and tried to correct and lifted putting him into the spin. I've been behind a lot of people through that turn and watched them go into understeer and go straight off track right there because you come through that section with a lot of speed. He should have slowed a bit before turning in but he was too focused on the car behind him and staying ahead. I see it a lot when I'm pressuring from behind and they don't want to let pass.

I just did my first autocross session in my C6 not too long ago as well. Definitely a lot different from the track driving that I am used to. Check out some of my videos and let me know what you think.
Nice vid man just purchased the Corsa X pipe and wanted to see how they sound on muffler deletes, sounds mean as hell
I'm thinking about doing the same. How much louder would you estimate it got after adding the xpipe? Is it worth it over just the muffler delete by itself?
@@ctrla1td3feated72 I don't have a muffler delete but I did put on the corsa x pipe. It's about 10-15% louder than stock. Nothing crazy but you can notice a bit of change.
I did the Corsa x-pipe with the AWE track axle back. For all intensive purposes what you did for a fraction of the cost.
That Grand Sport sounds so bad ass and angry. Love the Chevy power and handling the engineering team has done in last 8 years until now. How can they go wrong with sales for us track junkies feeding them our paychecks..
