They’re a cracking car…people are spending 5 times more money to buy Korean garbage. I’ve had a 03 e500 for few years now and recently picked up a 05 350 with only 80k. The 350 with its 7 gears is actually zippier than the 500.
@ Interesting :-) my 350 has 110,000 km only. Not perhaps as durable as the W124 that I had before-but they both delivered great driving enjoyment-the type I’d imagine a Korean or Chinese never could.
Nope. Completely stock. Transmission was in manual mode which makes the shifts firmer compared to s or c mode. I think only w211 optioned with sports package will have this mode [besides amg models]
@@W211sThe difference is on your car you can shift to manual mode by pushing left or right on the gear selector. This car has three modes S/C/M on the button, which is programmed mode in the TCU for firmer and quicker shifts. They are programmed differently.
About 2100-2300 rpm (depends on engine load from torque converter slip) 2100 rpm if the car is coasting 2200 rpm if cruise control is on 2300 rpm if trying to accelerate from 120km
The 190hp reading by torque pro is wrong. It doesn't take the power or torque readings from the ECU. It looks like it just calculates them based on the rate of acceleration hence the reading going blank when the car is stopped or not accelerating.

M272 3.5 litre
Nice video, good sounds, great shifts! I love my W211 2005 E350-it’s always a pleasure to use and drive despite being 19 years old :-)

Well both companies merged during the 2000s and shared some platforms and engines that era. You aren't that far off...
