interesting topic as young child I was taught that as a way to become close to God was to suffer like putting rocks in my shoes and not complaining as my feet hurt and bled would bring me closer to God . My the time I was 14 years old I determined there was not a God. it took another 12 years before I would even listen to anyone else and found my way to salvation. I wish more people would teach what you taught today. God bless you.
