Plasma treatment activates the cell surfaces following the application of the coating or film covering, improving adhesion and boosting heat conductivity in cell-to-cell bonding (adhesion of individual cells to the battery module). By plasma treating the components, the structural bonding of a battery module, such as the side walls, can be made more sticky.

If you had a hair dryer, wouldn't this work the same? It would take a long time and you would only be able to give it a net negative charge but wouldn't it work the same? How this tech is able to send cations to remove excess electrons from the surface is beyond me.
