Too many 012 people complaining about NT here. NT wasn't a bad idea and the gameplay wasn't bad either. Gundam MBON/XB2 still has a shit ton of people play it so the team arena gameplay formula isn't the problem. It's extremely underrated even. NT lost its community because too many 012 players didn't want to adapt to a better balanced game. Team synergy and map awareness >>>>>>>>>> any slow campy aerial combat 012 revolves around. Equipment also has no place in multiplayer. It's the same reason Kid Icarus Uprising didn't take off competitively. In a campaign, they're great. In multiplayer, it convolutes niches and requires a boatload of unnecessary knowledge checks and hard counters. You end up micromanaging bans and take away the freedom of customization anyway. It more often than not pigeon holes a character into 3 moves with massive stat crutches rather than displaying actual skill in a mirror match. The lack of homogenization makes actual competition weaker. NT didn't do anything wrong. The Dissidia community was just more close minded than the producers thought.

And here I thought Dissidia's simple enough to be fun, these guys are doing speedrunner moves. Srsly though I've been playing Dissidia since 2011 to this day, but I actually ever only played with 6 or 7 people and only one of them is from a competitive scene, but I've never seen this kind of gameplay up until now >.> I'm only watching this but I've never been terrified to Ex-Death like this.

That was beautiful. Some of the smartest Duodecim play I've seen. The ending involving dragging Lightning through one of her own Water spells was poetic, but I might have gotten even more hyped for the paused combo that finished the first match and the surprise invincibility Aerith in the second. And the music was perfect to boot!

Impressive game play from both sides, I've put hundreds of hours into this game years ago, but only got to play against other people rarely.

Yeah the other player was definitely way more experienced. They combo'd with their assist in really interesting ways; ways that'd you would only know through lab-ing those combos for a bit.
