Does anyone know her name? This is one of my all-time favorite classical pieces and video.

Thank you very much for this recording. It may not be perfect as some have noted but my ear is not keen enough to notice or care. I was lead here by a video of an old castle in the middle of a large forest in the Auvergne near the Loire river. And it mentioned this piece and since I already loved Camille Saint Saenz I had to listen - I am very glad I did.

Wonderful piece and played extremely well by the young pianist. Orchestra IS off tune at times, but remember they are a Youth Orchestra ;)

1:13 to 1:21 too late 1:16 mistake. At this point, I feel to hear is gone. Overall pitch is too crazy. It does not match at all with the orchestra, and there is no eye contact with the conductor to be align. 7:11 awful pitch at a place called from here. 8:16 later not bear to hear. Honestly, I can well up. Level of. No way, student recital? No way would not be taking the money, but, it is a gold return level.

a little bit out of tune but its good

This poignant piece helped me keep going when I was deathly ill six years ago. It has such depth and beauty, and then the last 4 minuets so lively.

Indeed the pianist is good but the orchestra is really off-tune. Listen to the Plasson (conductor) and Entremont (pianist) recording instead. The French interpretation school.

Our orchestra is just starting to play this, I get to be the second violin soloist. I think this is a very decent recording overall, it's such a difficult song to put together. Good work!

My daughter has a high school music project which she wants to conduct the orchestra version of Butterfly Lover and looking for the "full score" of it. So far, she only found and has the violin and piano version, it is not enough for the orchestra. Wondering if anyone have any idea where to find the "full score" for Butterfly Lover? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

My local music shop had it in stock when I wanted it but it's probably cheaper online. It's a common one for students around grade 8 level so shouldn't be too hard to find. It would be very hard to find a free copy if that's what you're after, though.

Oh. The orchestra sounds a tad sharp. Could be just because they're tuning to 444 (Boston Symphony Orchestra is infamous for that) and a lot of people are used to 440 or something like that.

What key is it in? I know it's a Chinese scale or key, but which one?

Neither of these.... This is a Concerto composed based on the fairy tale of "Liang Zhu"
