Other schools offer it as well. Once accepted, you go to a program over the summer before 9th grade to work on assignments and projects and then go on to attend the Specialized High School in the Fall of 9th grade.

The cutoff scores for 9th graders are much higher. There are far fewer seats. Here is a blog post to help you. Also note that for the 9th grade SHSAT, the ELA section is just about the same. I think the Discovery program aims to level the playing field for those who do not have access to appropriate test preparation options. Please try your hardest to score high enough to get one of the 4,000 seats so you can secure your future.

If you apply a guess and check strategy, and consider the value 8, it would be (16+8)/40+8) 24/48 = 0.5. This is not the fraction we are looking for. 8 would be incorrect.

I think i know where you made the mistake. I also made it to. We have to consider the additional marbles were adding to the total. So the total amount of marbles would'nt be 40.

Question number 14 is simply rewriting an algebraic expression in standard form. The exponents need to go in descending order.

If you are referring to number 15, please practice multiplying algebraic terms.

@@Sleepyzking Use the calculator to calculate the coefficients. If you were combining 3x and -9x, you would do 3-9 = -6 Then add the x. So -6x would be the final answer.
