As with all my reviews, I usually state that most games should get a 5/5 rating which in my system means the game was good/ok or unoffensive in manner. a game that exceeds 5 coins is better than good or ok, which i can see alter titles obtain. essentially 5/5 means there wasn't anything abhorrent about the game, but nothing stood out either. Games that stand out or are "better" will get higher than 5/5. for example, my Nier automata received more than 5 gold coins making it a game that really stood out to me, whilst SMT 3 didn't really stand out as much same as Final Fantasy 1. I can tell you now Final Fantasy 7 later on will definitely be receiving way more than 5 coins for obvious reasons. While the game isn't perfect it's not the most annoying thing I played or even bad, its sorta one of the grandfathers of all RPGs and you can't be mean to your grandparents could you :) I can admit there was at least some downsides that stood out but for the time it came out eh i can let it slide; it doesn't take much to be ok with my goblin brain. I mean I did sink tons of time into Various Daylife, arguably one of square enix's worse entries. In my Fallout 1 video, it got a 3/5 because it felt like a slog to playthrough due to ais which i state in my video, where as FF1 did have some annoyign bits I never felt overly frustrated or annoyed to have it impact my view of the game overall. Yea Again i do loop sound design/music together (which technically means its 2 sections) but music is such an important factor for me in games, ive literally dropped games becuase the music was boring or even bad. I will eventually release a video on why music matters so much to me but basically it's a personal perference. No Straight Roads wasn't exactly my favorite game to play with a rqather simple story, but the music is so good for that game that it sticks around in my head. So even if a game is "bad" as long as the music is good or even great it can still be a "good" game to me.

@@thetrugoblinking Your rating system seems abnormal from what I am getting here. Usually rating systems can't go beyond a limit outside of a joke, which is why I almost never have given a game higher then 9 outta 10. FF7 was among my first RPGs, and I love it dearly... however I still wouldn't call it perfect. FYI i've no clue about the FF7 remake, as super realistic art styles turn me off. Anyways far as music... I agree it can strongly enhance the experience, but I don't play games for their music. Honestly even games with good music I have sometimes outright turned off the music, and turned on a music playlist on my PC instead, as the repetition of tracks can annoy me.

@@fumetsusozo Yeah I want it to be abnormal, I want it to be different than other reviewers where status quo is 5/5 is "perfect". However, I believe no game is "perfect" which is why I want games to go above the minimum, more than just 5/5 or 10/10. So, with my system, there is no max coins a game can earn because there should be no set limits on what is "perfect". Every game will have their flaws and what's "perfect" to one will be awful to the next. And the latter, will that's just personal preference, sometimes I'll play games solely for the music. I can't really get annoyed at a game's music overall, there will always be a track I like and a track I hate, I love Aerith's theme/One-Winged Angel but i absolutely hate the Gold Saucer (you can thank ff14 for the one). Well besides that, I appreciate the critique and comments, I'll think about adjusting my system or try to let people be more aware about how I review games in the future :)

@@thetrugoblinking Anyways the rating system comments was mostly a misunderstanding on my part as this is the first video I seen by you, so no worries! Also guess I just can't understand the concept of playing games for their music, because if that was the only part I liked, then I would just download their tracks & listen to them on PC... I have gotten into arguments about this subject before with Sonic fans who try to say they will play even the bad games for the music. FYI I do collect lots of game music. Haha!

​@@fumetsusozo oohhh it all makes sense now with the sonic. yeah, I will say music can only carry a game so far lol, I like Fist bump from sonic forces, but that game is hot garbage imo even if fist bump is a banger. Which i agree about listening to the ost, but with games I'm going to play I'll specifically avoid listening to the soundtrack so I can hear it in game gives the track more energy imo, such as boss music. Octopath Traveler is a game that's not the greatest that I'm "trying" to beat but I love the music for it so I've been skipping over the final boss theme so I can hear it in game for that reason lol, just a weird quirk of mine lol.

@@mathieudoucet1446 11 and 14 are MMOS, I'm not a fan of MMOS which I'll make a separate video on later, also 14 is far too massive to make a detailed or even a review over, not too mention I don't want to purchase a subscription and rush through everything. I have played 14 and will make a video on it (and 11 since it's also a MMO) on it when I get to that point. I think I touched up on this on my initial announcement for this series ("Ive collected them all" video)

I do like how demons have different personalities although id roped that in to negotiations (which I love negotiations) but I can see how it falls under writing too. I'll try to remember that for future videos. I don't put names in the titles of videos well I because I put the cover of the game in the thumbnail but also I guess you could call it "click bait" although if I remember correctly click bait is putting something in the title or thumbnail for clicks and then never having that thing in the actual video. Fan will recognize the cover in thumbnail and non fans are drawn in by the title (I think I'm still new to this RUclips). The title makes it more engaging without tricking people I think, but I am trying to find a style that works for me.

@@thetrugoblinking Ahh ok, I now understand the strategy with the thumbnail. I'm not a youtuber, so I don't know about theses strategies. But I have to say, this worked more with your Nier Automata and Fear and Hunger videos. In those, the titel was more readable. This videos thumbnail also has the game's name half in japanese, that probably doesn't help. Well whatever, the thumbnail still worked. I'm a fan of the game and I recognized it. I wish you good luck with your videos and I hope you get more subscribers!

@@absolutfx that's what I thought, it has a whole political "battle" system which I recommended if someone wanted a less combat heavy ttrpg, of course if you're a fan of samurai movies you could play Way of the fives rings(?). It's something five rings but it has a heavy roleplay theme to it as opposed to samurai combat, there's combat just not the focus of the system I Know too many ttrpg systems lol!
