I’ve seen many productions, but Cavaradossi’s shirt was laughable. His singing tho is on point.. both great artists!

Where is her chestregister? Her voice is weak in the middle and headvoice smallers the dramatic. Thats why we begann to cry or we are simple emotional touched by hearing, get goosbombs by listening to bel canto singers like Caruso, del Monaco, Callas and many others...their voices where better audible, they stood over the orchestra, had clear vowels, clean voice etc..much better than today! And if the real art of opera will come alive, the audience must know about that facts to fight against fake opera. If we listening to the old opera Stars we can hear the difference, feel the difference! Conductors today have no idea about the physician of singers voice, they ruin hole opras with these wrong instructions how singers should sing and the orchestra should play in their opinion(mostly not too loud because of weak voices wich are not audible without microfones)...they have no rights to do that! WE MUST SING AND PLAY HOW THE COMPOSER WROTE IT!!! We must respect this art!

I like this...dont get me wrong...but she has not the diction and clarity of the tone of a Tebaldi,Callas,Sutherland,Caballe or Zeani...sopranos of this calibre are not around anymore...

Tosca makes harakiri, because this wonderful production took place in Peijing/China and chinese people would not understand another way of killing oneself...

Saw Marcello in this last year at the ROH. He was wonderful. Not sure about the costumes here-looks more like Swan Lake than Tosca!

I heard Natalia Ushakova in Covent Garden when she was singing Amelia in Simone Boccanegra, I saw her fantastic Traviata at the Staatsoper in Vienna and Queen of Spades in Teatro Real of Madrid...she is a new star of opera and she is my absolute favorite!!

Marvellous!!! The harmony of voice and beauty makes her the best Tosca ever. Just listen and dream - but don't close your eyes!

l'acuto finale mi lascia un pò perplesso la scena finale un pò originale,ma meno efficace di quella originale dove si butta giù dalle mura il duetto con Giordani mi è piaciuto

Eine DVD von dieser Tosca mit Marcello Giordani und Natalia Ushakova sollte dieses Jahr noch produziert werden!
