PAA Hawaii Solo 2024
The Kaiwi was bombing this year!! Smoking winds and a favorable tide set the scene for a record breaking channel. Congrats to everyone who made it across in one piece and special congrats to Pat Dolan and Lindsey Shank for setting new records in the men's and women's divisions.

OahuFoil's last race before the summer series kicks off. A quick edit of some clips and interviews of the day. Mahalo to John Hearn for always putting on an awesome event for everyone. Lots of excitement throughout the day but a highlight was Andrew Gibbons upsetting the reigning champ, Edo in the second race of the day to set the tone for an exciting July race series.

The two day race brings the best paddlers from across the state to compete in a three stage event, sizing up their training program for the big dance, the Moloka'i solo that's 6 weeks out. Is being taller rider and having a longer legs is an advantage on pump foiling? I'm 6'3 in height and want to learn more in this sport 😊
Hah. There are tall guys (6'+) and shorter guys (5'6"-). Don't think it provides an advantage either way

I ran a road race in Florida back in the late 90’s , early 2000’s. Called the Tour De Pain. Still going on I think. Three races in 24 hours. Friday night ran five miles on the beach. Saturday morning three miles on hard surface. Saturday night one mile sprint. This concept is challenging and fun. Glad to see we are doing this in the Canoes.

what drone do you shoot on? if multi lens, which focal length? and do you use active track or any equivalent? or is all the following by your control? super good footage...can tell you keep shutter close to 1/50
What's up Jaron. Thanks for checking out the edits! Mavic 3, 24mm, sport mode manual control. Haven't tried the active track yet. I've had the drone descend by itself so I'm hesitant to give up the controls. I try to fly as low as possible which doesn't leave much room to recover if that happens.
