Wow!! Uncle shoime that was incredible!!! Have I ever told you the story of how my grandfather became frum? He was also a bus driver in Brooklyn. He wasn't visibly Jewish but spoke an impressive Yiddish. One day he came across a chasidsha lady with her son doneing the nice curls. He asked her in Yiddish why don't you get with the times people don't dress like that anymore. She asked him why does he wear the the same uniform day in and day out don't u get board? He said this is my bus driver uniform its how people know I'm the driver and not a hijacker. She said we are Jewish Hashem's chosen people this is how we dress to show the world who we are and that we are proud. She then asked him if he has any kids. He proudly stated yes I have 7. Do they go to Yeshivah? No they are in the public school he replied. Well said the lady. If you want your kids to stay Jewish and not intermarriage. You better switch them into Yeshivah right way. Later that day when my grand father came home he told my bunny about the conversation he had. They took these sort to heart and did something about it. Talk about bichirah how often do we hear things and just brush them off like oh what does she know anyway... but no he took action and did what it took to get his children into a Yeshivah.
