Honest question. You can spray and clean the engine bay without having to remove parts? Like the water and everything won’t do any damage?
For 99.9% of modern cars (anything past 2013ish) .. it will be fine to do it as I have in the clip. Just as long as you don’t go too close with high pressure or completely drown the engine bay in water - you should be fine. Some people like to cover the alternator and air intake with a plastic bag although I never have. What I didn’t show in the clip , is that I spent around 5 minutes with an air blower just drying it off to get rid of most of the sitting water!

Is that a ceramic based sealant? I just used one for my first time and the results are super impressive. If you want to get some of that product out of the trim before applying a sealant, hit it with a regular old rectangle pencil eraser. I use momo brand erasers but any works. If it doesn't look like it's working, just press harder. Works great for removing wax or other less permanent products which have dries to trim. Just use a shop vac to remove the eraser strands.
I believe it’s a Silicone based dressing - but a ceramic one would get better results. I’ve also heard that if you clean it down with a magic eraser it will prep the surface better for the dressing.

Such a waste of money and time. Just pressure wash the vehicle off prior to hand washing.
Doesn’t work the same. You’d know this if you cleaned cars regularly.
You could have made you job so much easier if you had just cut the zip tie and taken off the cap and cleaned it separately

Not really! It’s quite thick.
