The Maryland State and DC AFL-CIO came to Annapolis, during the 2024 legislative session to rally support for labor bills during the legislative session. AFT Maryland was on hand and heard from labor activists and legislative allies about the importance of supporting working families in Maryland.

Did you know that WWII Black veterans and descendants are STILL not allowed GI bill benefits? Can you imagine teaching WWII and GI Bill and not mentioning that 1 million Black veteran were excluded. There is a bill in the house and senate to change this.
