the frame bracket should be flipped and ur gonna have 3 or 4 holes showing at top of L bracket if ur hitch head is set correctly
@@troyr5598 I see what you mean. If I flip them around I would have to lower the L bracket to get to the same point it is now.. the height of the L bracket is correct for my setup and it works better than I expected. Thanks for the notice .
who ever installed your L brackets on your hitch installed them wrong, that way is for an inverted coupler, ive installed many centerline hitches
Nice install. I like learning how to fix small things. My RV is ten years old so I am sure this could happen soon. I saw on you new one it said to replace it about ever 60 months is that the normal life in your opinion.
Yes they build them to only last 4-5 years. I guess that’s a good idea so there’s always a good unit inside RV. The unit has to have electricity to have that internal clock on. So the more you use your RV the sooner you need to replace. Thanks for the watch.
Yeah, I need water to camp! I like the lake.
I've trucked that road many times.
Thanks for the watch.
Another good video. I have never thought to look for city and county park. Normally state parks but they don't have water Normally at site. Nice to have water. For 25 is a great deal.
Thanks for the watch.
I appreciate you reporting on these beautiful county parks that we might otherwise never hear about 😊
You’re welcome. I really love to find these places. If you watch my videos I rarely go to resort type RV parks. Way too close together and more expensive. Thanks for the watch.
Boy, you know how to find'em! Nice lil place. Be Safe, Be Happy!
Thanks .
Put a link to the places you visit so we can find it
Very nice bike trail. Was there some kind of meet up at campground. Most of the other sites seem to have all the same brand small trailers. Almost look like all brand new. Very nice for 15 a night.
Yes I did ask about that at the sewage plant where you pay. They said it was training people for some company. Normally I would guess that place would not have that many trailers. I loved the trail and it did go for 7 miles. Thanks for the watch.
To bad it's on the wrong side of the state for me. Wouldn't mind having this on the West side. I don't know of any free sites over here, especially with a free shooting range so close. All of ours are pay to camp and memberships to shoot.......
Thanks for the reply. It’s to bad you don’t have free sites in your neck of the woods. Sometimes people don’t appreciate what’s right in their backyards to enjoy. That’s why I try to show people where these places are. Keep watching and I will keep looking free and adorable places.
That looks very nice. I am always looking for camping with a good bike trail that not to hill my wife and i are in our 60s and still have regular pedal bikes. No e-bikes. We travel I 70 and 74 to vist relation in Iowa. How far off the Interstate is it. Would be a great two day stop on our way from ohio. Safe travels
I’m a peddle bike guy also and as you saw this area is great for bike riding. The large sidewalk all the way to the town is also a nice ride. About 2-3 miles one way. This campground is about 20 miles from the northern part of the 465 loop around Indy. I went Rt 31 north off 465 and went east to Cicero.
There is almost 8 miles of trails total on both sides of the road im the guy that had the 2 german shepherd dogs it was our first time there also great place to walk and enjoy nature
Thanks , I really liked this area and hope to get back sometime. I was thinking about your deer videos and if you check out vita you should share them with RUclips.
Nice Campground. Is strange placement on some of the hook ups. Being we normally camp with just electric would be nice to have them.
Yes some of the placement on the water was strange but workable. Thanks for the watch.
It was great meeting you at the walking/biking/horse trails and talking love the videos
Yes it was nice speaking with you. Glad you like my videos. Keep watch as I continue my journey.
Good information. I have never tryed a parking lot user night. Been RVing less than a year. Have not with out electrical hook up even though we have generator. How do you run your Refrigerator when traveling. I have seen alot of videos say not to run propane when traveling. Then alot that do.
Ok thanks for the comments. I would say to you just give it a try . You learn as you go . Try a Cracker Barrel if there is one close. I always go in and ask if it’s ok and if I have to be limited to the RV slots . I like to park way in the back. On the fridge, I do travel with propane on and fridge operating but I shut down before I enter gas stations to fuel up. You always have a chance something could go wrong but you already are carrying tanks of propane on your unit. That in itself could be listed as dangerous. Of or on is always going to be a discussion. Good luck in your travels and just enjoy. Maybe we’ll meet down the road.
Looks good Dave! Be Safe, Be Happy!
Thanks
The cover looks great.
Thanks . That stuff works so I hope it lasts at least 6 months or more. Thanks for the watch.
I just discovered you channel a couple of days ago & really enjoy it . I really enjoyed the video on Confluence ( our favorite campground) . We know it as the OUTFLOW campground vice overflow . BTW when making reservations for this campground specify Confluence Pa. The Corps of Engineers (COE) has two campgrounds by that name in Pa. - the other one is in Tionesta . On your trip to Indy you will pass within 1/2 mile of our place (40 miles west of the Marsh stogies sign ).
Thanks for the reply. Your right I made a mistake it is Outflow. I like that place and visit often when going to Cumberland Md. Glad you enjoy my videos I really enjoy making them.
Nice install video. You do a great job on maintenance video explaining things love them Not that i wish for anyone to have issues that need fix. Safe travels to Indiana
Thanks 👍
I am 62 and my wife 63 how do you get the 50% off at the core campgrounds. The place looks very nice we like to csmp Sunday to Wednesday to avoid the crowds. I live less than 3 hour from that campground. Safe travels to Indiana
Thanks for the watch. At the end of this video I left a picture of another video. That video is about Corp of Engineers and how to find and also information on the America Pass ( also known as the Senior Pass). US gov.org is the website. You can also get a book from Amazon which shows all campgrounds for COE. I hope this helps and if you start using COE campgrounds maybe we will meet somewhere. If you look at all my videos I have many videos on COE campgrounds. One you might like is on Berlin lake in Ohio.
Best of luck with your jack. We enjoy your videos.
Thanks. I hope to get my new jack in a couple of days and I will do a video on that.
Same thing happened to our electric jack the water got down in it. I bought a cover for ours and haven’t had any issues since. Also we love corp of engineers and have been to Bush recreation areas a few times it’s a nice place
Thanks for the watch and the new electric jack I ordered has a cover so that should help.
@@everythingrvwithdave3579 I know we went through two jacks before I got a cover lol
WV, a pretty place to pass thru but a terrible place to live. I miss the green vegetation and scenery but honestly that's about all and I spent 50 years there.
Good job on the video.
Thanks!
Rt 22 is a great back road venture . Watch for community and church dinners , hometown restaurants . You will also find historical landmarks and scenic overlooks .
Yes I don’t think a lot of people know how nice this area is. Thanks for the watch.
Dometic will send upgraded gaskets for free
I'm thinking about heading there next month what's the name of that spot
@@BryanKale777 this place is north on Rt 135 off of Rt 50 . Go through Crested Butte to Washington Gulch Rd . Travel this smaller Rd about 4-5 miles and this place will be on the left side. You will see about 3 or 4 other places to camp before you reach this place. As I came out the road all the places were occupied so I kept going until I saw this place. Use google maps and you can scout around. Hope you enjoy Colorado as much as I did. Thanks for the watch.
Cool teapot! Hope you & the Mrs' are doing well. Be Safe, Be Happy!
Me and my buddy tripped our asses off right below pike lock. some young dude came by who didn't have matching knee socks. Really weird. Driftwood fire, constant barges, wake on the shore, lapping out of reach. Really nice. Ohio river is a great place to hang out. Pike island. Bounty for the soul.
I’m an old river rat myself raised on river front on Wheeling Island. Love the river and all that comes with it. Thanks for the watch.
I got in trouble once for urinating on that teapot once! Shout out to RV Dave for delivering his old sports memorbillia this week! I love this area of PA, Ohio, An WV. Miss it everytime I'm away
Thanks Sam
I went there with my rv. Beautiful place. I was told by a camper that I had passed on the road that there was 1 or 2 available sites. What actually happened when I was riding around people park their extra cars in the site and put up tents so nobody else takes the spot parked cars at empty sites. I was really upset at how the people behaved just shady. I have to say I was disappointed.
That was crappy. People who do things like that are the same kind of people that trash and don’t respect or lands. Sorry this happened to you.
@@everythingrvwithdave3579 not giving up. I’m going to try again with my granddaughter but this time I think I’m gonna try and get there by four or five in the morning and see what happens who knows maybe I’ll get lucky. And by the way, I love your site. I love the information thank you so much.
imagine drinking some bud light out of that thing . Dope vid Dave 👍
I was wondering what had happened to your videos. Safe summer travels.
Yea I just took a break. Thanks
Nice, I live right down river in New Martinsville. I love this area, there's alot of history here.
Very cool!
I want to build one for my mobile car cleaning rig. I have the predator 3500 though. Wondering if that might be too heavy. I know home depot sells 100 lbs slides
Yes , use the 100 lbs ones and you should be good. As an older guy mine is a lot of help. I have no problems with mine and they were at the limit for my generator. If you don’t have to pull the unit completely out to the full extension it will be stronger. Thanks for the watch and hope your build goes well.
How far from Hico?
About 31 miles
We did our shake down trip there. Just love that area and the walking street. Signs still there. I do believe they just replaced them
Thanks for the watch. I liked this place so much
Glad you mag dumped Osama Your Momma 😂
Great video Dave.. Love a good range day.. Keep em coming!
Thanks. Sometimes a day at the range is all you need to reset.
I'm glad ammo prices are starting to go back down some now, doubtful we'll see 'pre-covid prices' though, I need to get out to the range myself. Be Safe, Be Happy!
Thanks for the watch.
Farting around with gas---what could go wrong I wonder.
Yea that’s right but I’ve been lucky . I have been playing around with gas since I was 13 (first power boat) and am still here. Guess I did something right.
Dave, great video. how are you disposing of the water/ethanol mix? Thanks
Imagine ethanol isn't going to hurt the ground as much as your engine
Very interesting. Thank you for showing that step. I didn't see how you where going to get the gas out. Now it is clear. Thanks again.
You’re welcome. It’s really easy to do and my generator loves it.
Look for Marathon Rec 90 no alcohol gasoline, available at some stations in my East Tennessee area. Gives my riding mower neck snapping torque, doesn't get bogged down in heavy grass like that e10 garbage.
Marathon Rec?
Thanks for the watch. I wish I had pure gas local for me but I don’t. Yes it really does make small engines run great.
The alcohol has a really high octane, when you take it out it lowers the octane of the gas. How much, I don't know. I've thought of doing this but I would use premium I think to keep the octane high. But, if you're not having any issues maybe regular is perfectly fine.
I have used this method for 3 years on my small engines with no problems. If you run e85 which is about 85 percent ethanol as I do in my flex fuel truck you can really notice a difference but 10 percent is so little I did not notice any difference in the operation of my tractor or weed wacker. What I did notice is my weed wacker started easier and my generator started usually with one pull. So I really don’t think loosing the ethanol And the small octane loss is anything to worry about.
This was painful to watch the whole video!
My station would have shut the pumps down and told you that’s not approved can for gas . GET OUT DONT COME BACK . My how rules get twisted . ITS THE LAW . HELL THEY EVEN MADE SIGHNS SAYING . Call the POPO
I'm not understanding exactly what you're accomplishing. You add water to the gas, let it sit to separate into layers, then siphon the gas off the top. How does that eliminate the alcohol? Does the water 'trap' the alcohol somehow? If it all separates, why not just wait for the alcohol to seperate, then siphon off the gas?
I’m not a chemist but I think the water attracts chemically to the ethanol and separates it from the gas. I started with only water at level I knew after adding gas I then hat 3 levels you can actually see so what was the other level in between the gas and the water. This level (about 10 percent) is the ethanol that was in the gas.
I looked into this online a few years ago and what kept me from doing it was it also lowered the octane rating. Too low of octane will cause preignition and pinging. Fortunately I have been able to use an app called Pure Gas and have been able to find ethanol free fuel, but if you are only buying a small amount at a time one needs to be sure the hose isnt shared with an E-85 hose as youd still get the remaining E-85 in the hose.
Yea I agree taking the ethanol out will lower the octane but the small engines are not the high performance engines that I worked on in the 1960s. Pinging and preinginition has not been a problem that I have seen.
