I think the guilt of believing that he caused Glen’s death and the “easy street” torture from Negan really cemented his reclusiveness. After that he was more animalistic and didn’t express himself much verbally. Watching how all the traumatic events he endured impact his relationship with his self and others is really what makes him the most relatable and realistic character of the entire series and TWD universe. It’s funny that he created a boundary and wall of protection between himself and others via verbal communication and ended up in France leaving him unable to communicate with most people he runs into. Which causes him a ton of problems 😂. I’m Still hoping we get to see him heal and find love in his spin off series though.

9:14 that complete change from season one/season two with Rick calling Shane his “brother” (and then having to kill Shane as he tried to kill Rick) and then the parallel coming full circle in season four with Rick now considering Daryl as his “brother” and him looking at Rick thinking the same thing towards him. Daryl did so much more for Rick and both looked out for each other and he was nowhere near as hotheaded as Shane. Shane ultimately got himself killed thinking he was prepared for the apocalypse (which theoretically he was, but it overcame him like a sickness) but Daryl had overcome hard obstacles in his own life before the apocalypse began and with that bond he shared with Rick was honestly the most heartwarming part of the show, especially with the amount of times they saved each other

Omfg this is so heartbreaking i swear!!! Glenn & Maggie were so perfect for each other. & They were starting a damn family together he was going to be a father to her son! It's just not right & it's not fair how he was taken away from maggie before the baby was even brought into this world.... Ugh screw you negan! Negan took everything away from her & her son. He had to live with that for the rest of his f*ckin life. Yes negan had become a decent person he helped others instead of killing others instantly just because he could. he helped save others as well but no, no it will never change what he did to glenn because he was so innocent! He never wanted to hurt anyone except walkers. He was kind, caring, loving, just overall a great beautiful person. RIP GLENN WE WILL NEVER FORGET YOU & NEITHER WILL MAGGIE. when she eventually dies she will "find you" such pure love! ❤❤❤
