@@MarlaneM Np. Since you got a 240hz monitor also be sure to set your fps to 240 when on performance mode. Your gpu should be able to reach that easily. The 1% lows (=stutter) wil probably be higher, so less stutter and smoother gameplay.

My dog Aiseirigh is in the background. I’m pointing to and introducing him. (Usually he’s visible :)) I started playing Fortnite for my Niece. I had two Husky/Malamutes that are in memory of her Father and his love of the breed. Max recently passed. Aiseirigh is still here. Aiseirigh means “rise again” in Gaelic. 💜

@@MarlaneM That's unfortunate. Something else that is unfortunate: I'm checking out Teleport. It's not going to work for me since I have two canvases -- one horizontal and one vertical, Teleport only uses the horizontal one. But it seems like a great solution for individual stream formats!

Hi there! I would turn it on and use DLSS for the best performance. Direct Learning Super Sampling upscales lower resolution images in real time. The only downfall IMO is it’s 67% 3D Max but it looks very good. I also like to play in TAA and TSR using 100% 3D. However, performance is much lower in terms of FPS. Look into the ideal settings for your GPU in your control panel also. There are little tweaks you can do there too. Play around with the Anti-Aliasing setting and see what looks best to you and then find the best trade-off in terms of performance. I love the way TSR looks and I get the best performance with Nanite Geometry off. I find Nanite uses the most resources regardless of the anti aliasing I’m using. You will get better performance using DLSS as opposed to no anti aliasing.

@@MarlaneM Thank you so much for your reply-I really appreciate it! I just tried TSR Epic at my native 2K resolution with 3D resolution set to 100%, and kept the rest of the settings on medium, except for textures, which I left on Epic. I have a FreeSync monitor (165Hz), so I capped the FPS at 162. After all that, I’m still getting a consistent 160 FPS, no screen tearing, and the graphics look amazing! Thanks again for the great advice. Oh, and by the way, I’m using an RX 7800 XT, so no DLSS for me-just AMD magic ;)

@@ThatAce That's right! I bet your graphics look AMAZING with those settings. I've never had an AMD GPU or CPU but I definitely will in the future! AMD is Magic! My 1440p display has Free Sync which can work with Nvidia. I haven't used it because on my display it shows that it lowers the response time of the display. I've researched it and only found info supporting the contrary. I'll give it a try and see how my match turns out. 🙌

@@MarlaneM That’s great to hear! And trust me, it doesn’t matter how high your FPS goes without FreeSync (I’ve seen mine hit around 400 FPS on medium settings). Once you cap your FPS at -3 of your monitor’s refresh rate, the difference is night and day. You’ll never want to go back-I promise! I really hope you get the chance to enjoy the RX 7900 XTX soon! And when you do, definitely pair it with an AMD CPU. There’s this cool feature called Smart Memory Access that only works when both the GPU and CPU are from AMD-it’s a game-changer.

@MarlaneM Thanks! I upgraded from a 3080 with only 10GB, but I'm starting to see that my CPU is my bottleneck. I have a 5900X, which is not necessarily a gaming chip, but definitely capable. I may be encoding too high... *sigh* there's too many variables! 😅

I should add that when I'm not streaming, I can get 300+ fps... it's the encoding that kills my performance. So yeah, that's basically where I'm at. DLSS helped a little (going from Performance Mode to DLSS Performance), but still not getting the minimum 144 I capped my game at. 😐

@@wDadBot 3 streams is a heavy workload. do you have a lap top or another PC you can use to screen record from? OBS Studio has the Teleport add on which allows you to screen record from a second computer. Thus the second computer would carry the workload for the 3 stream output. I haven't been able to get it to work for me (I haven't tried lately) but most people have success with it.

@@wDadBot I had a 3080 too. Unfortunately, I believe I"ve downgraded with the 4070 TI. I didn't have a choice though, coolant leaked all over the card destroying it and I replaced it with the most reasonable GPU. 😥

Okay. Change DX12 to performance mode everything on low settings at 100 3D and 1440p. Keep in mind I’ll be recording on the same pc and that eats frames but I’ll test it prior while not recording and let you know the general FPS. Check back for it later today!

Yes i have a 4070 ti and 7800x3d and get with These Settings like 165 fps at Wqhd (1440p) because my gpu usage is by 98% and thats Lenas No bottleneck but yours is like 60% to 80% and thats because of your CPU is to Slow for this grafisch Card and that means a big Performance lose buy 7800x3d and the Problem is fixed

@@mikaelsworld3301I do also if I don’t record at the same time. Run OBS and use a facecam and record in 1440p and you will see your frames drop. I agree that the 7800 is a very nice CPU but you can see in the performance stats that I do not have CPU bottleneck. Also, I just double checked and am in a match with epic DLSS and am maintaining very close to 165fps solid. The i9 is a good CPU and considering I also do a lot of rendering and run heavy graphics programs it works. I always want to upgrade and do want the 7800 next.

I would save up and get the 4060 TI 16 GB. It’s $140 more than the 3060 12GB in the states. They are both great cards but you’ll get more longevity out of the 4060 TI 16GB.

I just purchased a 3060 12GB on Amazon and will be returning it Monday. Not worth purchasing new to be honest. I upgraded a system from a 1070 8gb and there wasn’t much of a difference. If your trying to keep it cheap eBay used RTX 2080 TI 11gb sell for 170-240$ all day and is nearly 40 pct faster if your willing to take the risk. If not go AMD for the same price you will get way more performance at the 3060 12gb price. I’ve purchased 3 2080 TI’s and all have worked perfectly fine. They do draw more power but you’re literally getting 30-40% of a performance uplift. The 4060 TI is the min spec I’d buy from Nvidia unless you’re willing to go used like a 3080.
