How do you get the flowers tight
It's partially by controlling tension, and partially because of hook size. If you think your stitches are too loose, trying going down a hook size.
Love you review. I too only crochet ch 2 on 1 st. Also I do not do the ch 1 between 1 n 9. Great refresher video.
Ditto Monica LeMay and all those positive comments...they are spot on. You are heaven sent : )
Thank you makes perfect sense now
I'm so glad it was helpful for you!
Cool
Thank you so much for this video. I just used it to start joining my hippo. Your video is the most helpful one. Believe you me, every fifth stitch I was saying yay right along with you!
I'm so glad it was helpful!!
Hey thanks for this video. I bought the pattern for the hippo. Just starting out right now. Idk I work better with video. Im new to crochet so this is a new step for me. Thanks for helping.
Thank you for this tutorial
Thank you
Please show joining for triangular shawl please
Hi there! This video was only for the Heidi Bears join as you go. I hope you're able to find something that will work for a shawl!
Yo
I'm just learning how to crochet. Is there a reason to slip stitch first instead of just doing the double crochet to join the two pieces?
Ohwell TooBad yes! Great question. The slip stitch creates a tighter join than a double crochet and pulls the two pieces together more seamlessly.
Is it a paid pattern?
Yes, I believe all of the Heidi Bears patterns are paid ones.

I have no idea :( I hope you find one!
So cool. I wish I know this before LOL. but so happy I find Now. Thank you for you time to show us how to make this !! You Rock !!
I've been trying to find your happy hippo pattern with no luck!
Hi Fran! They're not my patterns, I just did the tutorial to help with the join :) But I believe the pattern you're looking for is this one: www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/happypotamus-the-happy-hippo
Thank you
Christina, I am looking at the written pattern for Heidi-Bears Fatty Lumpkin pony & in the Ravelry group too - but thought I'd ask here as well. Each section of the project says how many Hexagons, Pentagon's etc., are needed; but how do I know how many to do with 5 rounds - vs. 4 rounds (to do join as I go)? TIA
Ethel Havens Hi Ethel! If you're doing the join as you go, you should be completing through round 4 on all of the motifs, unless the pattern states otherwise - round 5 will be the JAYG round. This means, however, that you *will* complete one full motif when you start joining, as this complete motif is the one you start joining to. I hope this helps!
me gusta como se ve la explicación no dominó el idioma pero puedo seguir la explicación visualmente ok
