@@TheTimmiz try it anyway, being able to switch between axe mode and powersword seamlessly mid combo is extremely fun and frankly SW is really damn easy to use, you can spam buttons and it'll pretty much combo on it's own.

Doing a randomized weapons challenge run atm, so I've been using it. And true, combos just come and go while I have no idea what I'm doing most of the time 😅

@TheTimmiz WAIT WAIT I'm wrong, I just did some searches, and found that's not what they are doing. It turns out there's a few mechanics at work. 1st: with some super stupid hard timing you can insta charge a slash by tackling the instant you get your first tier on the charge. Then you go back into charge and it's already done. It's VERY hard to pull off making it not a reliable strat. 2nd: what I keep seeing is that yes, you can tackle when you have a FULL charge to cancel the attack and it will carry on to the next charge instead, so players will go charge 1, then when they charge 2 they tackle instead, than they charge 3, instead of having to waste time on the second attack.

Defender gear and weapons came with Iceborne expansion if you just want to "speedrun" base game, so for new players it's recommended to use gears made from monsters, so they can learn more about skills in gear.
