I take astaxanthin since about 6 months now, about 12mg per day, I'm a woman 62 years old and I noticed a change quite rapidly about my energy and body. You really can see a change in the collagen. It doesn't do a total miracle but you see that your face is firmer and other parts of the body too. I don't want to live without it and recommend it to my relatives and family as something very important because it aso protects the brain and it's important as we age to take care of the oxidation in the body. And if I can add, I say to anyone to stop anything that brings Omega 6 because they are inflammatory and we eat too much of it even if we cut them because they are everywhere.

LCan I take astaxanthin if I'm taking Metoprol,Metformin,asvastatin,folate and fenofibrate. Does astaxanthin have interaction with these meds?

Side effects.?due to the lipid solubility are they toxic in long use. Red colouration of skin does it last and with what dose does it occur.

Great help for memory/balance/sleep/lower swelling and inflammation. My nails/hair did not grow...blocked some chemical reactions? Took too high a dose? Yes..it can get rid of free radicals and help rancid things. It lowered the swelling/inflammation from my Lyme, but didn't kill the Lyme? Flax oil maybe rancid and Flax may block the thyroid. Low much to take? I take other antioxidants? How is Astaxanthin the same/different from grounding? Too many antioxidants may hurt.
