Hey and welcome to my channel!
On this channel I will upload different things that are related to outdoor life. I will be doing some gear-testing, and also publish my trekking videos. My plan is to have a full trekking video every 8th week and then gear testing and "tips and tricks" in between.
Please let me know if there is any specific gear you want me to test, as in tents, knife, clothes or something related to outdoor usage.

Friday trekking with Fjällräven tents
This was a short hike directly from work on Friday afternoon.
One of the reasons that i got out was that I wanted to test 2 tents from Fjällräven. I brought Abisko Lite 1 and Abisko Shape 2.

Yo one thing EVERYONE need to be aware of buying new legit rain gear in 2024. The old DWR is gone for good.. do not eat in your rain gear anymore. The new safer DWR does bead water and does it like 75% as good as the toxic stuff did. However.. It has ZERO stain repellence anymore. I learned that the very expensive way on a $200+ Patagonia Jacket from spring 2023. Be careful.
Hi, great video. I have some problem with my jacket, i washed it, tried to impregnate it, but it is still soaking water in. Don’t you know where might the problem be? I used quite a lot DWR on it, so I really don’t know. Thanks:)
I'm having a major issue with the same jacket. Areas of the jacket absorb water instantly where others are completely waterproof. I've been through the process in the video three times but to no success. Maybe just bad luck 😕
Great video! I have a few tears and holes in my eco shell keb trousers after rough use. Would you have any suggestions as to how one can fix them?
Thanks! When it comes to the shell collection I normally hand it in to my local store for restoration, because of the waterproof function. If it’s any other trousers I normally try myself with needle and thread, as long as it’s not on the knees or the back part. Good luck man

I wonder why you not doing same test after applying impregnation spray just as before you applied...before jacket is on floor to catch more water and after you hang it on a chair so water can drop down right away
I have got same jacket,same water repellant spray but before washing was better then after...only difference is,I don't know how to dry it properly cos tumble dryer available to me doesn't have temperature adjustment...I only have programs available from which I used cold program 🤷🏻♂️
I’m considering the Abisko Lite 3 as a compact and lightweight trekking tent in the warmer months of the year, but also suitable for winter use!

Is this the chestnut color? Considering getting one
Hi Oayx. Mine is a few years old and when I look at the chestnut color online it differs a bit. I can’t remember which color mine is. It might be that there has been another color on sale before. But I really recommend the jacket, and the chestnut color looks great. I also had a matching pair of the keb trousers, so I was probably easy to find in the woods.

Hi Thinking about I should buy an Abisko Shape 2 tent. I am 2 meters tall and am a little worried about whether I can sit up in the tent and whether I can lie down. In addition also how wind stable it is - Can it handle a storm of 25 - 30 m / S (60-70 mph) for example Some experience ?
Hi Jesper, thanks for the comment. According to the specs on the tent it shouldn’t be a problem. The tent is 220cm long in the sleeping area. But I can really recommend to rent the tent first and try it out. I’ve done it multiple times from Naturkompaniet. Good luck
I’m considering the shape 3, intended for rainy weather trips. The small solo tents are also really fun, but not in sideways rain!

Kind of sad that a jacket that costs $500 needs maintenance. Their website says 'lifetime repairs'. I assume it losing its waterproofing capabilities over time, should fall into that category. But what do I know.
Every single rain jacket needs in order to work as a waterproof jacket to be maintained, $200 one or $500 one, it is the same
I have a lot of things that needs maintenance to work properly. Everything from knifes to tents, shell jackets and outdoor trousers. Personally I have nothing against doing this maintenance. It gives me a perfect opportunity to inspect my stuff. And I find it relaxing. But hey, that’s just me :)

Kul att se fler som gör filmer från Skåneleden👍. Vandrade den delen av SL4 i våras och sov i vindskydden. Vi hade också lite svårt med vattnet eftersom det inte fanns i direkt anslutning till lägerplatserna.
Nej där fanns väl egentligen bara ett uttag i direkt anslutning 😊 Jag ska ut i November igen och ha med mig en produkt för att testa filtrera vatten då 😁
@@hobbytrekking3703 jag brukar använda Sawyer mini vattenfilter. Men på dom etapperna fanns ingenstans att ta vatten för att rena ens. Då väntar vi på nästa film då😁.

Tjena! Kul att se andra vandra där man själv gått tidigare. Där i vindskyddet vid Tuvelund sov jag natt 5 på min vandring runt SL4, riktigt mysigt där. Känner igen det där med fötterna. Mina Meindl Dovre är supersköna i bösig skog men på asfalt är dom mördare. Jag körde SL4’an med trailrunners i stället. Bra video, skicka upp fler vettja ;)
Ja det är en väldigt bra med att vandra 😊 Jag har också tänkt skaffa trailrunners till just sådana här vandringar. Funkar dem bra med tung packning? :) Jodå det kommer fler, nästa vandring är redan planerad 😁
@@hobbytrekking3703 Jag vet inte hur tung packning man tycker dom är bekväma med riktigt. Min rygga för en vecka brukar ligga på ca: 10kg totalvikt. Det går ju förstås att ta på sig ett par Darn Tough strumpor med full dämpning så borde saken vara biff.
