Everything is about dynamics. If you can perfectly control the harmonics of your sound, you know how to equalize them, and you compress/limit them correctly, you will have the best sounds. For a good master, the key is an expectrally balanced mix 😝

@@flpexpress5585 hmmm. Do you compress and limit each bus that you have. And then end up with like 5 final buses eg bass, vox, synths, drums, fx? Or do you do individual elements and then slap a load of plugins on the master?

I usually compress in buses when i have multiple layers and i want to make them sound like one full sound. So if you have in mind that point, you can apply that for almost everything; You don't want your song to sound like bass + drums, you want it to sound like a full MASTER; You don't want your vocals to sound like lead + backing vocals, you want your vocals to sound like ONE sound. That is the magic of dynamics, and if you know how to control it you can make multiple sounds stop sounding like multiple sounds, and start sounding like ONE powerful sound. I hope it is understood, maybe in the future I will upload mixing tutorials! 💖

@@lioplimusic Dont take it from me as a professional, but one way I try to make the vocals and lead sound as one for example is to eq them so that the prominent frequencies of each sound dont clash with each other. And again, dont take it from me if I were a professional, but in EDM using OTT to compress sounds like the vocal and lead make them sound so much more glued and "professional". But thats just an easy way to make it sound good so I would definitely invest my time into learning mixing and mastering.
