Darkness.
Even when the eyelid opens, it is pitch black as far as the eye can see. But, entwined between her fingers is a familiar warmth. She smiles. All she ever wanted in life is to be held this way. All she ever wanted is to have someone by her side as she collects all the broken pieces of her shattered heart. Someone who would tell her it's okay to be hurt, and that they will hold her blood-covered hands.
The warmth slowly turns cold, and colder, and colder… It melts, escaping her palm. It slips away, just like everything else.
𝘚𝘰𝘣.
Ice cold tears run through her cheek. Her icy lips tremble from the futile attempt to keep everything in, betraying her charade. And just like how her heart ...
