The Yaberoo Budjara Trail is a 29 kilometre trail that follows the migration route of the local Noongar people along a chain of lakes and swamps between Lake Joondalup and Yanchep, near Perth Western Australia. It crosses tuart and banksia woodland, coastal heath and wetlands. This video is from my ride on 31 August 2019.

Climb Mt Frankland
Просмотров 3966 лет назад
A 5.5km detour from the Munda Biddi Trail will take you to Mt Frankland. 30km north of Walpole, the 1.2 km return Summit trail to the towerman's lookout on the 422-metre peak is strenuous - after a steep walk you will need to climb a ladder and over 300 steep steps to scale the huge granite boulder. However the views make it worthwhile - on a clear day you can see the Porongurup and Stirling ra...

Munda Biddi Surfaces (updated in 2017)
Maybe its changed but there is lots more single track and first three days has a lot of heavily rutted, often pea gravel crappy tracks courtesy of the trail bikers!
What type of grinder are you using in this video?
The best result is achieved when using a specific polisher, but a variable speed angle grinder (usually 3000 to 11000 RPM) can be good too. Maximum speed for our 125mm dry diamond resin polishing pads is 4500 RPM (recommended speed 2500 - 4500RPM). Do not use a standard angle grinder (they can be up to 11,000 RPM). See more here - www.udt.com.au/view/grinding/diamond-honeycomb-resin-polishing-pad
I lived there as a child it was great
Planning on riding the trail. How long do you expect it takes for a intermediate rider with ~8kg of gear? Thanks in advance!
Nice video
Where do i find that old rail map at the end of the video mate?
mantap semangat
I'm going there tommorow so excited hehe I've been there before
Thanks - will be tackling a few km of this at the weekend - good website by the way - useful.
Kojonup - Boyup Brook - Donnybrook is an old rail line, would be a fantastic trail.
Thanks for creating this video. I'm about to head off on the Munda Biddi and hoping to finish it end to end, your videos have been a great help.
Great video!!
I rode the Munda Biddi on 35mm touring tyres, not gravel tyres, and the pea gravel was 'annoying' to say the least. It was like riding through ball bearing soup.
I'm more than happy to share the first LIke to you'r videos!
Can you access the campsite via car?
No, sorry. The locked gates allow cyclists though, but keep cars out.
I've just bought a used Voyager solo with 80l expert panniers on eBay, can't wait to load it up with my wildcamping kit and hit the trails on my Giant talon 0 MTB here in the UK 🚴♀️
MTB is for little kids. SMH
bad idea !
If away for days I take a few spare spokes but front wheel is different length to back wheel and .. if it breaks on the rear cassette side, you are screwed without the tools, also if different bikes or wheels need different spokes. Spokes work under tension not compression, which is what this does, it's a valid temporary fix.
@@FallNorthAgree! i carry a tiny Unior cassette removal tool too ..worth carrying 🙂👍🏻
@@pedallinraw Spokes are buggers. Currently they are all (and Im tempting fate here!) stable and fine on all my bikes. But I used to have a commuting bike that would CONSTANTLY brake them. Never knew why. When I was younger I built a few wheels, I totally understand the need to equally tension and not over tension .... And the wheels felt fine but .... Now I think about it just ditching the wheels was the simplest option :).
Thankyou for your video
I really like this trailer but iv no idea what my hub is to order the quick release
If its older bike before 2010 usually rear is 135mm length. New bikes 2010+ 140,145mm sometimes larger.
brilliant idea
Forgot about the cobwebs across tracks and low lying branches.
Thumbnail made me think you'd bought a drone. Related: you should buy a drone 😁
Always a great trip when down that way. I'll ride out to it one day.
Queenstown is best explored on a MTB
An excellent condensed visual of the MBT. Brought back a lot of memories. I did it in reverse direction with Bill's assistance two years ago and hope to return this year.John
Nice video
Great video :)
Nice video. Ta for including us at our lunch spot. Did you need to bush-bash to get to the following rapids? I didn't see a trail down to them.
Sam England Thanks Sam. The Waterous & Munda Biddi Trail was only about 100m from the rapids where we met, and there was a 4WD trail down to it.
Yep, that was obvious. I meant the rapids shown in your video after that - I could see (and hear) them through the trees from the trail, but didn't see a track down to them - a couple of km north of where we met. By the way, do you know if the big mud pit in the middle of the track nearby was deliberately constructed for the 4wd enthusiasts or did it just get worse over time?
Sorry Sam, my rapids video was taken at the one spot- just a different angle. I did actually ask at the ranger station about the mud pit and they said it has got progressively worse as 4WD "test" themselves on it. I will be posting a Munda Biddi 1000 km 4 minute summary video in the next few weeks - keep an eye out for it.
