I have been drumming for over 5 years and I made this channel to post covers, tutorials, and more. I play rock songs and I love the Foo Fighters and Nirvana.
Tuning, mic setup, recording, thumbnail creation, and editing is all done by me.

I NEED THE TRIPLE
@@Mr.Magoop patience my fat friend
You should breakdown flam fives next. I am having quite a bit of trouble with them.
Thanks for the suggestion, will do!
@ No problem!!!

Not forcing, but you sound really good, and I think you should do a cover of a Taylor Swift song! Some suggestions are Picture to Burn, Fearless, I Did Something Bad, and I Can See You 🫡
I’ll check it out thanks!
Those are some nice sounding drums! What are the tom heads?
Thank you! They are the Evans EC2 clear
@ I use those, too 🤩
For the 80 BPM, I would suggest using less arm and more wrist/fingers. That will ensure sound quality and consistency 🙂
Thanks for the pointer!
@ No problem. I absolutely love your videos!!!!
Use double stroke technique it’ll save you a lot of effort and arthritis lol
Yeah I mean I usually do that on higher speeds but I was just trying to show like a forte version at a slow speed

Carpet looks weird
When working with foam rudiments it’s crucial to play the rudiment so slowly that you are controlling where the grace lands. I would take this slowly with a metronome with triplet subdivision to ensure that each note is timed correctly. Work on triplet timing before adding flams, then slowly work in the flams. A simple breakdown could be 1 bar of triplets, then 1 bar of triplets with accents on the downbeats, then 1 bar of flam triplets. Keep up the work!
thanks for the wisdom!

When you're working your rudiments, make sure to keep in mind the stroke types. Single stroke rolls are played with full / rebound / legato strokes, but here you're playing downstrokes which results in unnecessary tension and youll find it harder to accelerate and build speed over time comfortably. When you play slowly, your technique should be identical _(within reason)_ to playing _a tempo._ When you bumped the bpm you switched to full strokes, but you're practicing improper technique slowly and building bad habits.
@@juneyellowsnek thank you so much for the detailed feedback!
@Matthew-Drums of course! I know too many people who think the stroke types don't matter but they're crucial and fundamental to staying relaxed and avoiding injury. Hell, I pinched a nerve in my elbow and had to take a month off in college because I was too tense playing marimba. Another important thing to keep in mind is that rebound strokes just mean _'return to the start point,'_ not _'return to 12" / vertical'._ If you're playing at _mp,_ you'll be dropping from 6" _(45°)_ and returning to 6". 3" _(23°)_ for _p,_ 12" _(vertical)_ for _f,_ etc. Regardless of dynamic / stick height, it'll just feel like juggling with extremely low effort from the fingers because you're adding such a tiny amount of energy into the stick - it already wants to bounce back to where it was, you're just making up for the difference that gravity subtracts.
Play single stroke in piano forte
Piano forte?
Yeah
@Matthew-Drumsit’s where a dynamic
@@Marcinator1 piano forte isn’t a dynamic and I didn’t put any dynamic because I was just demonstrating the rudiment, you can play it at any dynamic.

Thank you so much! (Also you got the song)

thanks
That’s awesome dude! That stack sounds great; I have one just like it on my kit. The other thing I’ve tried with a broken crash is to apply silicone to the cracks to dampen the noise. It works great for quarter note crashes in halftime; creates a very similar sound to the stack.
That sounds cool! Thanks bob!
Great job!! bass drum needs to be louder yes keep up great work!!!
Thank you so much HJ!
