Bro people keep calling games with lower play counts than bw dead when they have better communities. Bro bw is the only game where people dox and swat each other actively. If you get hacked on in one of the "dead games" everyone will jump that person for you.

I find the main reason skywars is dead, bc its so sweaty and i think most people cheat or auto click its just so unfair

I recently came back to hypixel just to play it in general for memories i guess. i played duels for a while and i noticed that you can't see who is in Q plus the lag is so bad which causes a major issue i remember wayyyyy back in the day you could see players skins so if they were cheating you could just dodge them the duels issue mainly is The Q and ofc the booster, botters and cheater issues. I had fun playing duels way back in the days but sadly i can't do that anymore.

This was a very drastic decision from Hypixel. In my perspective they could just host tourneys in popular gamemodes that wouldn't be open to anyone (by setting a verification requirement and a star / playtime requirement) This way you would obviously make the tourneys not accessible for everyone, but the tournament would look like an actual tournament. On the other side I'm quite happy with the anticheat at the moment. Having a server side anticheat that is build from 1.8 to the newest minecraft version is quite hard, especially when the anticheat must count with special items, different pings and obviously an enormous amount of cheaters with different clients, whose developers are always working to find the next bypass.

1:12 I am pretty sure that the problem of the Anti-Cheat / Cheat-Detection on Hypixel is that a lot of hack client focus on bypassing Hypixel's anticheat. So they need to constantly update it.🙃 But I also think that there might be ways to remove a lot of cheaters from the game, like bringing back the [MOD] rank for example. EDIT: An anticheat isnt as good as an actual human checking it. So it would be nice to have the [MOD] rank back. You can even monitor the Tourney's with moderation or make it so they get notifications of "Possible Cheaters" that they can teleport to (In Real Time) so that they can remove them during the games.

i am 50/50 on this update. most new players experience is: joining bedwars, getting sweat on, dying instantly and quitting. this makes it easier for new players to find bedwars and actually play it. but also if everyone goes on alts it defeats the point. so overall this update is pointless.

i'm also a bedwars sweat (but not that high level, like 300 on my combined accs) but i think this is a good thing. i would rather new players have a better chance of not getting steamrolled every game by level 1 krillions and then quitting than getting lobbies full of those new players.

I will never understand people that hate skill based match making in any game, you basically enjoyed having easy times pwning noobs or new players while at the same time ruining the game for them because they would get killed or lose without learning anything. Players with similar skill level should be matched with players of similar skill level to have fair and balanced matches. If you're that good at the game so that you have to play against the best in the world to have a balanced match so be it.

Actually sounds like a great update. While it may not fix snipers and prevent smurfing, it allows newer players to better enjoy the game, leading to playercount increases. Additionally, it will be easier for higher star players like you and I to actually improve by fighting players our skill rather than level 2s over and over. A more challenging game is not a bad thing.

as a noob that is actully amaizing for me ive been losing games for so long to a players so much better then me and haven't really got a chance to play any better because I'm getting killed so much times by by good players

I see both good and bad in the update but I would rather it gone. Maybe fix the anticheat instead of finding ways to slow down snipers.

skill based match making good for newer players so they don't have to deal with someone like who is very good at the game in their first game which could kill there motivaton I know lots of people who wanted skill-based matchmaking

Pretty much this update is good for new players and bad for good players :/ my thoughts -v I think the blocking queue name thing is stupid and should be removed entirely. The skill based match making thing actually sounds really good for new players but it’s just bad for all good players so tbh, it should be toggleable and turned on automatically when u first join the server… imo I don’t see anything wrong with this idea. New/unskilled players can have fun now playing against 600 stars and people with 600 stars can actually have a challenge if they feel like it and people like u tryna farm win streaks can do so.

Overall got mixed feeling about the update. Good intentions but they forgot about some things. I am definitely for obstructing usernames on its own since I can finally queue better players without them queue dodging me. And while players say that they queue dodge "snipers" we all know that players typically queue dodge good players, since otherwise winstreaks like 100 would be very rare and lucky. And while I do understand that insanely high winstreaks are a cool thing they shouldn't have existed in the first place. In no other multiplayer game like Valorant, Fortnite and etc. is it possible to achieve such a high winstreak due to the fact that you cannot queue dodge constantly. The part I dislike is that trackers shouldn't work then too, which do. Also the matchmaking should only consist of 2 brackets and NOT 3 since that's just way too messy. In my opinion brackets of 0-30 star and 30+ would probably be ideal. In duels I really enjoy this update, because before the update I had to wait 1 min till somebody would not queue dodge me in sumo and that guy was usually a blatant cheater, which now fortunately doesn't happen anymore. Also I can still get 15+ FKDR session while queueing with 1000+ stars with 10+ FKDR so I wouldn't say that the update is a huge deal.
