Why did he become boring ? I remember Ruslan & Ludmila in Carnagie Hall and all mind-blowing transcriptions he played. Since he had grey hair, he became boring. Tremendously underrated pianist. It's like he wasn't super well-known, except in pianistic circles. He and Martha Argerich were friends and performed together sometimes.
