6 - Started working on the wood structure
This time I worked on concrete footings (again). But I also started working on the wood structure. I enjoyed that very much! That doesn't mean that pouring concrete is a thing of the past now. There are 3 footings left. Also, the walls in between the 4 corners of the shed will require quite some concrete. The end is in sight though.
When I drove back home, I had 16 hours of time on my hands to think about the work I did. I realized I pushed myself a bit. That in itself is not an issue. But...I feel I wasn't critical enough when working on the wood structure. One of the horizontal beams was a bit crooked. I thought I was able to deal with it. I was wrong. 4 - Concrete footings halfway done

I’m finally back at the property. The previous trip was 5 months ago. This time the little doggo stayed home, so I’m all alone. The nights are pretty cold. That’s why I decided to keep the tent off the ground and set it up on my trailer. The additional tarp over the tent keeps my stuff from getting damp. I did notice I am sniffing a lot in this video. I guess I'm not really used to the outdoors...

This tour I’m mainly working on the first row of concrete footings. It’s 7 days of digging holes, cutting rebar, mixing concrete and a lot of measuring. Since summer is over, it’s safe to use the brushcutter again. It feels good to clean up the area around the house. This time I created a parking space and cleared the drive way, so I can park the car pretty close to the house. This is convenient when I need to haul building materials for instance. This video documents my first real trip to my property in the Pyrenees. At this point in time, the purchase isn't final yet. But I didn't want to wait any longer to go there for the first time. Well, I did go there before, but that was just for a couple of hours. This time I stayed there for a week and did some basic chores.

I think you should have put a washer and nut on the bottom of the center rod, and then painted the whole rod. At the top when troweling you needed to cover the threads in tape. Should have put a time-capsule under the footings.
Try a wetter concrete mix. You can pour directly into the form, then tap the side of the form to eliminate voids. This will also insure a 100% cure.
@DSTE I followed the instructions on the bag to the letter, but the mix ended up pretty dry. Adding more water is probably a good idea. Thanks for your suggestion!
