the dsg fluid needs changed ever 40k with filter. dont skip that... and the DUAL MASS FLYWHEEL will go out eventually buy a oem one. only oem on these cars for almost everything. i just got a 15 myself with 57k

@@ericmartinez5633 dmf just started making noise recently. I have the parts ordered and will be replacing it next weekend

@@zach_gldn is it shuttering? it could need a dsg tune if its tuned and didnt get a tune for the dsg . they dont like stage1 and stag2 tunes. its helps. but i forget how many miles you got. and also get vcds or obdleven to reset clutch adaptations. if its acting werid.

@@ericmartinez5633 yes, there’s a mild shutter. Mainly at idle. I’m doing a trans relearn, and a recalibration after the new parts are on. It’s at 169k miles so I figured it’s probably time anyway 🤷‍♂️

@@zach_gldn Cool. But seriously if you haven't heard of this, you might wanna google "fiero fire problem". It's not just my perception of the issue. It is factual. That's literally the reason they stopped producing them. Might wanna rig the door so you can just eject it out into the street if needed for a quick escape. The only thing that is known to catch on fire more than those are EV's. Lol.

Yeah I looked into the big issues last week and most of it can be prevented with heat wrap. Stuff like the ecu being mounted too close to the exhaust. And the tbi timing needs to be adjusted to avoid carb fires

​@@TheTraveler33 It wasn't that big of an issue after people did the recall I daily drove one or these fiero gts back in the day. Only some models had the fire issues

@@Tech_481 According to what I found on the net, it was many of them. It was not an isolated problem by any stretch. When you personally see 3 on fire at different times, that's enough to tell you something is really bad. So recall or not, I wouldn't put faith in them. Also, they were really late on doing a recall because they wanted to deny how big the problem was. Kinda like you're doing right now. Lol! So a lot of people suffered before it reached the point of not being a big issue as you say.
