Verse 10:45 is actually one of hardest to live by. Do most you can without expecting to get something in return. A lot of times maybe get something bad in return. Jesus demonstrated this lesson with his own life.

I want to share a few scriptures that came to mind when Jesus touched the leper and he was cleansed. Some of the ideas here, such as quarantine and infection are taking on new practical relevance in our everyday lives. We the church are Jesus hands, feet, and voice to our neighbors. May our clean hands be His hands. May our sacrificed voice be His voice. May we be listening to the Spirit to know how touch others in love. "As for the leper who has the infection, his clothes shall be torn, and the hair of his head shall be uncovered, and he shall cover his mustache and cry, 'Unclean! Unclean!' He shall remain unclean all the days during which he has the infection; he is unclean. He shall live alone; his dwelling shall be outside the camp. Leviticus 13:45‭-‬46 NASB If a man carries holy meat in the fold of his garment, and touches bread with this fold, or cooked food, wine, oil, or any other food, will it become holy?'" And the priests answered, "No." Then Haggai said, "If one who is unclean from a corpse touches any of these, will the latter become unclean?" And the priests answered, "It will become unclean." Haggai 2:12‭-‬13 NASB And one called out to another and said, "Holy, Holy, Holy, is the Lord of hosts, The whole earth is full of His glory." And the foundations of the thresholds trembled at the voice of him who called out, while the temple was filling with smoke. Then I said, "Woe is me, for I am ruined! Because I am a man of unclean lips, And I live among a people of unclean lips; For my eyes have seen the King, the Lord of hosts." Then one of the seraphim flew to me with a burning coal in his hand, which he had taken from the altar with tongs. He touched my mouth with it and said, "Behold, this has touched your lips; and your iniquity is taken away and your sin is forgiven." Isaiah 6:3‭-‬7 NASB "Wash yourselves, make yourselves clean; Remove the evil of your deeds from My sight.
