Love the windsurf action! That one handed move was sweet. Great sailing by all the windsurfers!
Sketchy take off on those slippery rocks!
Thanks for sharing!
Some awesome swell riding out there JP! I have more shots of you. I’ll try to send them over to you sometime via RUclips.
That is choice!!!!! Thanks 💪
I was there!! it was awesome!! go go
Great windsurf action!! Crazy to see hardly anyone out at the Hatch compared to 20 years ago
I hear the Hatch can be a total gong show (I didn't get down to the Gorge this year during peak season to see for myself) and perhaps worse than ever before due to the mix of wing foil, windsurfing, downwind foilers, pump foilers, kiters, etc. Maybe it is worse than 20 years ago... at least everyone had the same limitations back then and you didn't have to worry about foils.🙂
Fun vid, thanks for sharing! Your DW 360's are looking smooth!
Thanks 👍
A comparison of loops between wingfoiling and windsurfing besides the usual beauty of the Gorge. Nice. Thanks.
👍 that’s my kinda riding! One hand swell rides… and looks like you had the Hatch all to yourself!
Nice Video! How many knots of wind do you think there were?
Windsurfing is always a pleasure to watch for me as it's my favourite sport and hobby.👍
I'll bet that would be fun foiling on those river swells out there.
😎 Cool session! I've just bought the E-tech version of same board. Which sail and boom do you use?
Could you use a wing on this board? Or are these types of boards just not and for wings?
Is this a lot more tachita move around on the board then regular windsurfing? Trying to figure out if a foil would be more fun overall, or I would be frustrated
I was looking forward to a new video. Your riding style is my target. Nice carving gybes and If possible, 360’s. What happend to your pocket rocket?
The Sun Simulator is flaunting it's hexagonal shape and cold hue blue light which is very high in UV rays. You rarely see the real Sun with it's golden light now😮
Great opening shot!!
Nice video, I have a friend selling this board. My question is, does this board work also like a windsurf with the fin, let's say in stringer winds?
No, that board would not work with a fin. It only has tracks for a foil attachment. I guess you could put two fins in the tracks and try it as a twin fin maybe, but I don’t think it work work too well.
which version of board do you have? My E-tech has tuttle box and works ok for the fin. Really fun aslo is to run this board with the fin and wing - just without the foil.
My friend has the bigger version with also a tuttlebox for the fin. Thanks bobobobo968 for the review. Compared to other windsurf boards? 180 cm seems crazy... Footstraps position with bigger sails? Thnx
For the classic fin windsurf planing the board is a bit too short but very agile. instead if you try to run it with the fin and wing like this ruclips.net/video/a_7OiogBeWI/видео.html it's definetely fun @@nakaniko
regarding footstraps - RRD recommends to use it strapless @@nakaniko
Fun! Not sure about the nature scenes… enjoyed the music! wind speed? Thanks for posting the gear specs.
do you know the volume of that board?
It’s about 115 liters
@@foilwind Thanks,
Awesome fun Thks for sharing …guess there’s no tacking involved ..😄
That's an interesting mix of wing and windsurf foiler.
Yes, that’s kind of the idea. Blending the two somewhat.
Looks fab, where’s the location?
@@MrRod767 Hood River., Oregon USA The Columbia River Gorge.
Looks amazing
Makes me want to learn windsurfing so I can learn this as a next step. It looks so easy in the video but I guess it's really hard.
It's practically impossible for a total beginner to learn windsurf foiling because you would need to get good at windsurfing without a foil first, then transition to windsurfing with a foil, which is not easy. I would recommend trying wing foiling. That's foiling with an inflatable wing. It's a lot easier for a beginner to get good quickly with that sport. I say that even though I am a windsurf foiler myself.

Thank you. I can so much learn from your Video. Where do you surf?
Nice riding & nice vid, thanks
Weird question I know but what booties do you wear? (Great vids & foiling!)
Thanks! I'v been using these Billabong 2mm reef booties. Really thin with a split toe. They give a lot of board feel and don't get hung up in the straps too bad.
hobbyists? either you are a nitwit couch potato or an insufferable genius
silky jybes! I love the sound track! Thanks!
Very cool style, makes a lot of fun watching
i just got me a whole lot more respect for winging. Damn Dat Loop.
Just trying to imagine the combined hours of practise these guys have 😲 There's some incredible moves there, made to look effortless...
Totally! and the amount of crashes needed to get there :D
Not a whole lot of kite dangling going on there.
You tried any other sab wings?
I’ve tied the 899 and 999 and I used to use the 790. I like the 899. It seems to have a little less lift but more glide than the 799. The 790 was great but to much lift in higher winds. I haven’t figured out the 999 yet only been on that one twice and I had to have more back foot pressure.
ti prego....fai altri video strambate da altre angolazioni....sono troppo belle..grazie
That is absolutely huge. That guy Chris sends it!
Great video - oioioi👍
Best sailors? Where? I can only see 3rd class hobbyists...
It's incredible no wings juat a year ago. Superbes swells
Great video!
Thanks for filming and uploading. That was a solid day.
sick all round. Who is the foiler with yellow sail at 44sec?
I’m not sure who that is. He’s out at the Hatchery a lot though. I think he was on a 2.8 sail or something that day.
@@foilwind lots of rippers up there
I think is Christopher Mc Donald, is a young wing foiler from USA
Awesome thanks
Awesome video
Nice, what's the song?
loops on a foil wing board as technical as may be just don't look cool, that long wing dagger just looks weird, not cool.
Totally disagree, but fair enough, that‘s your opinion
I do somewhat agree. Sending a 7 or 10 or doing a jumping tack spin look way sicker in my opinion
So people still do windsurfing
Yes, many of us still do, it’s what eventually led to both wingfoiling and kite surfing
looks like they are still shredding too😊
I was out there winging that day, it was all-time!
Where is that spot please ?
