I saw Wojo in a Seward, Alaska coffee shop in passing around 20 years ago. I didn't say anything, just appreciated having run into him in a most unlikely place. I do believe he was just enjoying Alaska's ambience as a tourist. It certainly brought back memories of one of the best TV shows ever.

Barney Miller no doubt is one of the top 5 greatest sitcoms of all time. The talent that was on this show,from season 1 to season 8,was amazing. So sad we’ve lost em all except for Max “Wojo” Gail & Hal “Barney” Linden. When real police departments around the country say it’s the closest to being the real thing,it speaks volumes to how great the writers & actors were…..considering how many police shows have been on television. Thank God for the Ol’ One-Two!!!!

I miss the actors. Only Hal Linden is alive and now has a new Project at 93 with Mary Lu Henner. Very happy 😊

James Gregory was a great actor he played inspector Luger

One of my favorite episodes. The 70s seemed like a very painful time for a nation recovering from the Vietnam War, with some just wishing to forget it ever happened. Just like that episode of All in the Family where the draft dodger came to Christmas dinner, the writers of this episode of Barney Miller did a great job conveying the positions of both sides (Wojo, who joined the military and felt angry at those who didn't, and Jonathan Dodd, who violently opposed the war) in a respectful manner.

WHY WERE THERE NO DIFFERENT EXTRA ACTORS TO DO CERTAIN EPISODES? LOOKING AT THE REGULAR FOLK IN CRIMINAL ACTING DIDN'T FOLLOW UP AT ALL.

"The Inspector" was one of the best characters on the show. 110° in the shade and he's still wearing the suit, tie, the hat, hard shoes, and jacket. Thanks for posting these episodes for us to enjoy.
